Memories of Buddy
Buddy was a very special dog. My vet told me we were "overly bonded". He was smart, sweet, and had so much love to give. At the same time, he was protective of his family and brother, Alex the cat. If the cat got off the back deck and ran into the yard, Buddy would go around chasing and corraling him back to the deck. I never taught him to do that. He would also help me carry in the groceries from the store. I would put an item in his mouth and he would carry it into the kitchen, drop it on the floor, and come back out for more. Buddy also would take things off the steps and carry them upstairs for me or take something from my hands that were full and carry it up for me. He was just that kind of a soul. He always gave to others. People couldn't help but love Buddy. He connected to everyone and you could just see his beautiful soul when you looked into his eyes. Buddy has enriched my life in so many ways. He made me a better person. He was my best friend and is forever engrained in my heart and every part of my being.

To Buddy: May there be endless chewies, comfortable sofas, warm fireplaces, sunny days, large beds, big fields to run, and lots of squirrels to chase. Thank you for how much you brought to all our lives. You're a good boy, and a great soul. It's not good bye my Buddy, but rather, you'll be back. All my love with all my heart. Mom
