Memories of Brucy
Brucy - after being 10 years in torture...in November 2013 I saved him from death...he finally had a home with love, hugs, warm blankets and beds...Finally a life. Brucy was so sick when he arrived here in Germany: his ears full with virus infection big as a cauliflower - he survived the surgery. Happy to hear and no more bloody pain in the ears. Brucy couldn't breathe properly from the beginning. We found that he has a larynge paralysis. Another big surgery followed and he survided. Happy to be able to breathe properly not being afraid anymore to suffocate. Jumping over the gras, running and playing with other Dogs - even though his legs were crooked and broken filled with pain. Brucy was such a happy dog: waggling his tail regardless what I did...After all the vet found that his stomach is full with pus and Brucy had another surgery. He made it again!
Every morning after getting up Brucy came with his frisbee, waggling his tail, hitting the frisbee on my knee, jumped onto the Sofa begging with his beautiful big Brown cute eyes "caress me" ... and I did and he enjoyed it so much...
Not even two weeks ago Brucy had severe problems again with his stomach. Eating grass like a cow because of his stomach ache. I took him to the vet every day. December 23 in the morning I took him to the vet again: the x-ray Pictures showed a lot of air in his belly and "something". I was crying as I knew time is coming - Brucy would not make another big surgery...In the afternoon with tears running down my face I talked to the vet and made the decision to let Brucy go to Rainbow Bridge on December 24 - which is Christmas Eve in Germany.
We had a great morning: walking and playing outside, playing frisbee and ball inside, hugging and kissing. Taking x-mas Pictures. Brucy had two big chewbones. Always waggling his tail and smiling at me. The vet came - also crying. Brucy slept away in peace on my lap: Released from pain, his crooked legs moving - like he was running - and still smiling.
Bella - my other dog I also saved from death last year November - is confused, constantly looking for her pal Brucy. We miss Brucy so much and we will always miss him...Brucy will always be with us, watching us: waggling his tail and smiling...We love you, Brucy
