Memories of Bodie
Bodie saved my life. He saved me from depression when all hope was lost. It was he and I against the world. When I gave my love to him and he to me, the world got better for me. Our unconditional love was something I will never feel again. He had the most gorgeous coat and smoothest fur. His tail feathers were fancy and the top of his head made him look so strong, handsome and my protector. He had many fursiblings, Alex, Kelley, Tika and Chuck. He saw my husband and I get married. He was home when we brought our 2 baby girls home from the hospital. When he was ok, I was ok. He was my everything. My heart, my soul. Always by my side, always hugging and holding each other, we were never apart. We went to bed together each night and he slept right between us. He would run and bark in his dreams. He was the best athlete, could catch a tennis ball from anywhere, leap in the air with grace and cockiness. His big cow eyes would look into my soul every day, I would run to him and snuggle, sniff his ear and smell his frito feet. I don't know how I am going to go on without him, he was my absolute everything. Bodie, please stay with us and look over me, your girls and Mike. Look over Alex, Kelley and Tika and Chuck. I hope you are free of pain, you can eat, walk, poop and jump again like you did before. I am sorry you were in so much pain. I am sorry I kept you alive through your pain because I needed you. I need you to be with me forever in spirit and I hope we can be reunited again sometime.
