Memories of Bit
My cutest little Bit, Uncle Harry and Chrissy found you as a kitten, all dirty and abused. They said they brought you to Grandma's house for your last meal before the pound. They knew it wouldn't be your last meal. You "temporarily" came to me while we looked for a new home for you. You never left. Instead you became a beloved member of our family - you, Mommy and your big brother Pavvy and sister Lily Ann.

So skittish and shy, always hiding in closets when company came. But so loving to mommy, always wanting to be pet and loved. You always seemed so grateful to be loved. I have never known a more loving being than you my dear Boy. When daddy came into our lives, you knew he was special and let him become your person too. His influence helped you to come out of your shell and start asserting yourself.

Largely silent, you learned to give that funny meow when you wanted something - especially a treat or to be pet. Daddy will miss your morning pre-alarm wake-up routine.

I'm so happy you lived your last years in the new house. You opened up with the added space. While you liked the downstairs, you ruled the upstairs. I will so miss hearing you run from room to room.

I didn't know you were sick my dearest Bit. I take some comfort in knowing you didn't suffer long. It broke my heart to lose you this morning. But I hope that you felt our love as you passed. Be happy with Speezie and Grandma. They loved you here on Earth and will take care of you until Mommy and Daddy see you again.

I will always love my cutest little Bit in the world.
