Beasley was always a giant handsome. As a kitten he weighed 8 pounds and the vet said he was done growing. I pointed out his giant feet and paws and told her she had no idea what she was talking about! He grew into those feet (18 pounds!!!) and melted our hearts. |
He was found as a stray in a parking lot where we were doing feral TNR. He was not feral, never made his way into our traps, but did find my friend Holly and flopped down on her feet! I eventually ended up with 6 cats from various situations and circumstances. They have now all gone over the Bridge, Beasley being the last of my 6 pack.
I love and miss every one of them and find comfort knowing they are all together again, young and not in pain.
I am having dreams about you, Peasway. I cannot get you out of my head. I sang the Peaswey song to Lily the other day and started crying. That was our song and I know Lily will like it as much as you did. I hope you don't mind. I don't know if I did everything right at the end, it was all I knew to do to release you from the pain. I hope you could hear me singing to you and I'm sorry if my tears got your fur wet. Your vet was so kind to let me have the extra time with you.
Loki misses you like I never thought possible. We bought him a radio so he spends his days listening to NPR. I know, next he'll grow thumbs and take over the block, if not the planet. Could you please visit and let him know he is safe and not going anywhere? To you he left very suddenly, to us, it was 2 years in the making.
I hope you have been reunited with Zoe and Ate Hope. Please find all of your fur-siblings and let them know how very loved every one of you were.
I will meet you at the Bridge - promise.
