Andy was a rescue from the streets. Instead of being shy and afraid, he loved everyone. He even loved the vets, vet technicians, and anyone that came over. He had a very loud purr, loved to sit on your lap, and loved being held. He was definitely a boy kitty and was Lyla's little frienemy during the later years of his life. He has crossed the rainbow bridge and is waiting with Reesie. Reesie, please take good care of Andy.|
Andy was named batman because he looked like he had batman's hood on, especially his ears from the back. He had an adorable slash of a mustache and white boots on his hind legs. He had quite the interesting tuxedo, batman outfit! He had big feet, longish-hair that never matted. He was the easiest to please cat. Not much spooked him except when the football parties may have gotten too loud. But he was always there to greet everyone before and after. He tolerated anything that needed to be done including road trips and a cross country plane flight. He even went through an amputation due to cancer in a leg. No matter what, he was always funny and lovable.
Andy liked to play dress up and we have the funniest pictures including one of him as Darth Vader. Andy loved pet grass and got especially vocal when he saw that we had brought some home for him. Andy would stare at his food bowl silently as if staring at it would make food magically appear. Actually it worked :) Andy was very vocal but also used adorable "dry fire" silent meows.
Andy, Coach, Lyla, and Pixsy clearly miss you. The house does not feel the same without you here. You were the one cat that we didn't have to look for. You were usually in a chair or would come out to greet whoever walked in the door.
You will always be in our hearts. We are grateful for the years you lived with us. You are healed, whole, and healthy with God now. Play, lay in the sun, eat pet grass, and enjoy the fresh air. We will see you in heaven someday.
Love your family!
