Memories of Amber
We rescued our little Amber when she was about 5 years old. The previous owners had no idea what a sweet little girl they had, but we are grateful that we did. Amber was so tiny (2.9lbs) that we often joked that she was a squirrel masquerading as a dog. She was so tiny yet had the personality of a giant. She held her own with my Sonik and Lola and fit right into the pack from the first moment. She would sneak into Lola's very large bed every night and snuggle with her in her loving way. Amber had a difficult start but once she entered our lives we not only changed her world for the better, but she did the same for us. She was the missing piece to our family and when she came the puzzle was completed. She always was with me during my pregnancies and when the children were born she was more than happy to be their little "doll". She enjoyed riding in their toy cars and sitting on their laps calmly while they pet her. Amber lived to roughly 15 years old, and we know that she was so happy up to the very end. We are so grateful that she did not suffer and passed peacefully in my arms. The 9 years we had with her enriched our lives and we are grateful to all the wonderful memories we shared with her.

To my Amber: We love you and miss you dearly. We will cherish all the wonderful memories we had with you. We carry you in our hearts everyday and will never FORGET you or the sweet soul you have.

Till we meet again...RIP my sweet Amber.
