Welcome to Amber's Rainbow Bridge Memorial Residency
Memories of Amber
Last night we had to say goodbye to our sweet little angel, Amber. When we rescued you, you were so abused and neglected but still so full of love and yearning for that love to be returned. You were quite a mess when we rescued you. The day before we got you they had just removed a growth on your back leaving a scar about 6 inches long. Besides that, they also tried to spay you again. You were very brave and came back to life a little each day. We got your ear infections cleared up, 14 rotten teeth pulled and you were quickly on the mend. I'm so glad that we were able to give you that love and happiness for the time you were with us. You helped us to fill the hole in our heart that Coco left. Things like going for rides in the car and being afraid of men soon were non-existent and you loved Dick and loved riding in the car as long as you knew you were not going to the vet. It was such fun to see you run and chase your favorite squeaky toy, sliding on the wood floor and snagging the toy on the way past it. You always had to squeak it before you would bring it back. You had the cutest little happy dance when you thought you were going to get a treat or thought you were going with us out the door. We will miss you setting at attention on your little window stool watching intently as we drove up the driveway, then jumping down and rushing to meet us. Your last love was Zoey, the neighbor's pit bull that loved to stop by for treats. You would follow Zoey and it did not matter that Zoey's tail would continually slap you in the face. You loved Zoey. Over the last six years you suffered through so many health issues, but kidney failure finally took you from us. Our hearts are aching and our eyes swollen with tears but we know that once you cross the rainbow bridge, you will be with Coco and young and playful again. We love and miss you, Pumpkin. You will forever be in our hearts and minds. Amber we miss you so much.
