My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 6 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Spirit. Please find comfort in knowing that Spirit is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I am sure that Spirit and Spooky have become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Jennifer, I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful kitty. I, too lost my beloved, Smokey Joe (my big guy's) to kidney disease and he drank tons of water too. Reading your tribute brought back memories. I know my Smokey Joe, will take the paws of your Spirit, and show him the way, as well as all the other fur babies. The pain and grief never really goes away but it does get softer with time. Wishing you peace, sending prayers, Sandie and Smokey Joe (my big guy's) in heaven.

My sincere sympathy on the loss of your beloved Spirit. I don't think that we are meant to know when they are sick - they are so good at hiding it so that we don't worry. I hope that the memories you have of your time together help to ease the pain of your loss.

Jennifer, I just visited your beautiful Spirit. I know the pain of losing a beloved pet far too soon and very quickly. I lost my precious Bichon, Amor July 1, 2010 in 10 days, she had cancer. I never knew she was sick until she stopped eating. I took her to the Vet and never brought her home after that. The autopsy showed cancer. As far as I knew she wasn't sick before that, how could she be so sick and me not know? I struggled with that for a long time but I really don't know what I missed. Its easier now but I still miss Amor and think of her everyday.I'm sure Spirit knows how much you loved him. Its always sad to lose them so young. I know soon you will smile just remembering all the love and joy Spirit gave you so freely. Please visit Amor at Rainbow Bridge to see my little girl. Take care, God bless. Jennifer, what wonderful memories. I am so very sorry that Spirit had to leave to cross the bridge. They are not lost, just waiting for us. One of my best friends and companion of 16 years, Willy, went to the bridge in January. My tears still flow when I think of him. I know though, that he and Willy are probably playing in the meadows, running and jumping now. I know Willy loved the sunshine and I hope that he does too. I truly believe that God would not have made a Heaven without our beloved companions there to meet us. I have left an extra angel to look over Spirit, as they are our special angels watching over us. I hope that your pain begins to turn to peace that fills your heart with nothing but wonderful memories. They make the days become a little less heartbreaking knowing that their hearts are always with ours. God Bless You until we all meet again. I would love for you to visit Willy at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/WILLY010/Resident.HTM

Hello Jennifer, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Spirit. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on there memory and begin to celebrate there life. Please take comfort in knowing that one day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander in July 2008 & have attached his link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm

Spirit - You had a very vivid and expressive spirit and you lived up to your name! Send your family some signs, kisses from the Rainbow to let them know that you are safe, happy, healthy and will have many friends. Let Jennifer know that God has appointed you to be the guardian protector to watch over her until she is called to the Bridge to join you one day. I will tell my Brande to find you and play with you. To Jennifer - I send you my deepest regrets over the loss of Spirit. I too lost my soulmate not long ago, see Brande at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BRAND167/Resident.htm - We know that God has promised we will be with our babies again one day. I leave this quote with you, "heaven is the only place where all the dogs and cats you have ever loved will come running to meet you." Author Unknown
