Smokey boy. It's been just over a year since we placed you in God's loving arms, absorbing your pain so that you could be free of it. You're in my every thought, and every step I take, every single day. You remain my soul dog eternally, you're forever a part of me boy. I feel your presence and pray that God five me the someday miracle of reuniting with you. I love and miss you as much now as I have when you were put to rest. Run free and happy with your heavenly family Smoke, until we can meet again. Stay with me. Undying love, David(Smokey's Dad)

David..a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Smokey is a beautiful boy. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know he is happy, healthy and playing with Oreo, Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them at the Bridge. I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care..

Hi David. Reading your memorial to Smokey, I could not help but cry. I can so relate. I lost my own best friend, soulmate on June 15. You had such an incredible bond with Smokey. It sounds like you could read each other so easily, readily. Our fur babies give us so much unconditional love and acceptance. Our bond with them knows no equal and is forever, not limited by time or space. Yes we lose a piece of ourselves with their passing however, it will be a joyous reunion come our time for the Rainbow Bridge.

Dear David, My heart is saddened with yours in the loss of Smokey. I truly believe in Rainbow Bridge and know along with Smokey, will be many of my beloved pets waiting for me for us to cross over into beautiful Heaven. Having been a dog owner/lover all my life, I, too, know the deep heartache we feel when we lose one so precious to us. I also know, with time's passing, the sadness does ease some and we have those joyful memories to sustain us during these hard times. May you have many of Smokey. God Bless, Dianna

I am so sorry for your loss of Smokey. My heart goes out to you as I know you are struggling so with the loss of your precious baby. Your world has lost a very special baby, family member and friend, but the heavens have welcomed home a very special soul. Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain. I know you had a special relationship with Smokey that will always be a part of you. I pray that my sweet little girl, Bailey, found Smokey and they have become friends. May the precious love you shared with Smokey continue to warm your heart and I hope you find peace and comfort knowing that your love will bind you together forever. Peace and blessings to you. My precious Bailey left our world December 5th, 2013 and we miss her so. Please visit my Bailey at

David: Life has to end, but love does not. Smokey's gentle soul and unending devotion will be deeply cherished as you reflect on a life so well lived. And yes, there IS a Rainbow Bridge where our soulmates go to wait patiently at heaven's window. Until that time, carry your best friend deep within until you can carry him in your arms once again. I've gifted a pull rope to keep your eternal connection as love never dies. Ever. Just don't let go!
