Dear Puppy, I recently came across the video, and I am so heartbroken to see such a malicious act towards an innocent soul such as yourself. I'm sorry that the people of this world were so cruel to you. You didn't do a thing and were still so young. It makes me sad to think of the poor little guys like yourself out there who also need some saving. You push me to strive and act on this cruelty towards dogs, and I hope that one day I can be given the chance to save and love a dog of my own one day. RIP Puppy, you will forever live on in memory. Hi, my name is Paula and I'm from Brazil. I'm 22 y.o and I have just found your memorial after hearing for the first time about Puppy and seeing the video. I was just 5 when it happened. It has been many years, but he hasn't been forgotten. It broke my heart and I needed to know more. I needed to know there was punishment and backlash. And then I found this little space here, and all the sweet things you wrote, and it again reminded me that while people are capable of being terrible, we are also capable of incredible tenderness and compassion. I think people who are kind to the defenseless are the best people. Thank you for writing what you did for Puppy.

I remember that evil "marine" Motari, I saw the video in 2008 and even now 17 years laters I still get angry at how this garbage could do that and film it too, makes me wonder how many more incidents like this were not filmed that we dont know about. Due to the sordid sick history of the US military- Sand Creek massacre, the Tonkin Bay "incident" that now we learn never happened like they claimed, the unarmed women and children murdered at Mai lai and many many more- I have NO doubt there's hundreds more like this, we already saw the fake "daring rescue" of the woman soldier from a near empty Iraq hospital with unarmed doctors, the sports guy who volunteered to serve and was killed by friendly fire there which was covered up.
