Hi Mike, just read Owen's story, so beautifully told. Loved his photo album, too, What a gorgeous puppy We have 2 Cavs on Rainbow - Benji and Louie and, like you and Owen, we've found that our relationship was so strong, it seems to transcend even death. We used to treat our boyz as little humans and they responded to that. I sens the same depth of relationship between you and Owne. I know that lots of people just 'don't get it'. But, we saw - what the heck would they know? It was wonderful to note the 'signs' - rainbows, songs etc which we do believe are sent from above, allowing us to maintain spiritual contact with our babes. We will pray for you and Owen, that peace will find you and, in time, will heal your pain, although I'm not so sure I will ever truly get over the loss. Thanks for such a lovely story and photos. Love, Mary & Andy

Mike, So sorry for your loss. We share a love for beloved pets with the same name. My precious little Owen passed very recently and he took a piece of my heart with him. I am hoping the tears eventually will be replaced with the wonderful memories. It is my hope that the two Owens are running and playing together in the sunshine. I believe we will be with them again one day. P. S. Love the Halloween photo:)

Mike, my heart felt condolences on the loss of your beloved Owen. What a beautiful boy he was! I can tell from your touching words how special your bond was. Few of us are so blessed with "The Bond". It truly is an irreplaceable gift, but, OH the pain when our babies are gone.... It is so very hard when our fur children pass. They are a part of us and the hole they leave behind when they've gone to The Bridge is huge. My sweet dog, Chili, went to The Bridge late April. She and I were blessed with the same type of bond you had with Owen. I think of her everyday, as I know you think and cry for your sweet baby. Please know that I am thinking of you during this sad time. Sincerely, Lauren If you’d like to visit Chili’s memorial, please go to: http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/CHILI001/Resident.htm

Hello Mike, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Owen. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZIANN001/Resident.htm

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Owen. Please find comfort in knowing that Owen is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. Spooky never met Hannah or Sammi but I am sure that Spooky greeted Hannah and Sammi at the bridge. I am sure that Owen, Spooky, Hannah, and Sammi have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care,

Mike, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. We are sure that beautiful Owen and Nikki Mae have become good friends and are now having so much fun playing and running again. To precious Owen, a new angel at the Rainbow... I’m sure that with your new feather-soft guardian angel wings, you lovingly watch over your family back here. And I just know, too, that you’ve found the coziest & softest places to take your sunshine filled Rainbow-colored angel naps, haven't you... May butterflies grace your dreams as you sleep… And may each time you look up and see that wondrously magical Rainbow, may you know that your family here has helped make it shine a little brighter for you. How? With their tears, sweet baby. You see, each love-drop filled tear here has mixed with the sunshine there at your new home, and your Rainbow there shines even brighter for you now…An old Indian proverb: "The Soul would have no Rainbow if the Eyes had No Tears" says it best... You now find rest in the Arms of God's very own Angels...what more could have ever been wished for you? What more could have ever been wished...Rest well, little Owen, rest well little one.

Dear Mike I'm sorry for the loss of your Owen. What a beautiful tribute for a beautiful soul, not to mention a good looking guy. I lost my Finnbar, another Irish guy, last December. I understand how hard it is to say goodbye. When its time you'll be together again just as it should be. Until then Owen is waiting for you at the bridge happy and healthy. There are new places to explore so much space to run like the wind all the good treats and when he needs a break, meadows to lie in the sun. He's having a ball with his new friends all the while still keeping an eye on you. I hope he's met Finn by now. He's a friendly little cat but he's scrappy and he can catch. If you would care to visit my Finnbar http://Rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Finnb001/Resident.htm

Dear Owen, you are so handsome! Please go to the Bridge and send your precious love down the Rainbow straight into the hearts of your daddy, your entire family and Joey, who miss you so much, and they will send their love right back to you on angels' wings. Mike, your world has lost a very special furperson, family member and friend, and heaven has welcomed home a very special soul. Owen is now your very own angel, watching over and for you, just as Tashi, Katy and BG are watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May his sweet love continually nuzzle your heart until then, and may you find comfort in knowing that the silver thread of love that binds you heart to heart with Owen will never be broken. Blessings and peace, Clare and Martha...Please visit our Tashi at http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/TASHI002/resident.HTM

For sweet Owen, I know that during your lifetime you gave Mike much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness at Rainbows Bridge. From looking at your photos and reading what Mike wrote for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Owen I have a wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For Mike, I just visited Owen's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I am sure if asked, Owen would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Having lost my little boy Pedro I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Owen. Wishing you all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom)
