Happy Birthday Murphy, What a great day. Murphy came into the world. He left us way too soon. I think about you every day Murphy. I have a chain pendant with your picture embedded into it and I wear it all the time to remind of what a wonderful time in my life that was when we brought you home to meet Dippy. You cried the first night, but then you got used to things and grew up to be the Big Guy. No more being intimidated by Dippy. It was fun watching you two. Sometimes not so fun when you and Dippy got into it. But every family has it's ups and downs. And you were family. The time we spent in Birmingham was wonderful and everything was right in the world. I love you Murphy and I miss everything about you. Soon, I'll be with you and Dippy too. And all will be right in the universe again. Daddy

Hi Murph, it's been a while since I've been here. A lot of things have been going on. I was diagnosed with something that means I'll be seeing you soon. I couldn't forget to write to you today. It's been 8 years since you left us. I wear your picture on a chain around my neck. I always think about you. I hope this rainbow bridge is real and I'll see you and Dippy and Lady and Niki and of course Tilly soon. I think about all the times I came through the door and you would greet me with a toy. You'd jump up an down and insist on getting a belly rub. I had a Golden Retriever once. and his name is Murphy.

Hi Murph. I forgot to tell you...it's snowing right now. Maybe we'll have a white Christmas. I think you'd like the snow. I love you Murphy. Daddy.

Hi Murph. I've missed a few months. There's a lot going on and I may join you sooner than I thought. I've got a few medical issues that have to be addressed and I'm optimistic about the outcome. But it's telling me that time is running shorter for me. I've missed you so much. You hold a very special place in my heart. So does Dippy. So do all those dogs that came before. I love all my pets. That's why it's so hard to say goodbye. I've been writing to you for years now because you had that much of an effect on me. I have a cat keeping me company now. Her name is MaggieMolly. I don't know what it's like where you are. But I'll find out soon enough. I love you, Murphy. I'm sending a brush because you used to love having me brush you. Daddy

Hi Murphy, It's August now. That's summer. Kids are getting back to school soon. I hope you're at peace and feeling no pain. I hope there are friends with you. I hope you remember me when you see me. I hope Dippy is with you. I miss you as always. Love you Murph, Daddy

Hi Murphy, did you play today? Do you miss your people? Your people miss you a lot. I remember all the time we had at the big house. You loved the fireplace and when I brought in the wood. You thought it was for you to chew. You'd sit right next to me on the floor as I lit the fire. That was perfect. Then, after you were warmed up you'd move to the couch and Dippy would come and sit with me. Those were good days Murph. For a short time, it was all perfect. :) Daddy

Hi Murphy, Are you free now? Do you play with other dogs. Did you find Spencer and Dippy? I hope so. Humans like to imagine what it's like. Is there a Rainbow Bridge? Are you going to remember me when it's my time? I hope to see you again. I miss you guys a lot. I have a cat now. Her name is Maggie Molly. I couldn't decide which name so I figured she wouldn't mind if I used both. She's a good Kitty and keeps me company. I'm feeling a little under the weather today. Nothing serious. I hope that you can feel my thoughts. They're with you all the time. I miss you very much. You're a good dog. Always. Daddy

Hi Murph. It's Springtime here in Vermont. That's where I live now. I'll bet you have your choice of seasons. You used to love all the seasons. I think you liked spring and fall the most but that might just be me projecting my feelings onto you. It just seemed that's when you seemed the friskiest. I used to pull into the drive and try to sneek up on the door. I could see you through the window into the kitchen waiting and then spotting my and you'd be jumping up and down. Then it was tug of war in the living room. Dippy would bark. That was great. I'm sending my thoughts to you as always. love, Daddy

Hi Murphy, the time slipped past me again. I lose track of what day it is all the time. I got my vaccination yesterday for the virus. Dogs don't get it, so it wouldn't bother you. I wish I could do crazy dog with you. I don't think time moves where you are. Do you play? Do you enjoy being where you are? Do you think about us? Dippy is there now. Have you seen him. Is he being good? I miss both of you so much. Some day, we'll be together again. I love you Murphy Daddy

Hi Murphy. Sorry I'm late. I totally lost track of the days. I was so focused on the day that I got my virus shot, I lost track of the days. I've been pretty good about writing on the 18th of every month. Sometimes I mess up. I'm human. We tend to do that at times. I miss you all the time. I got a cat to keep me company. She's a lot different than you. She doesn't run up to greet me when I come home. But she likes to sit in my lap. She's good company. I know I'll never find another Murphy. At least I had you once. I love you Murph. Daddy.

Hi Murph. sorry, I'm a little late. I lost track of the time. I was thinking about you a lot the other night. I was thinking about how every time I'd come in the door, you'd come racing in to greet me and just about knock me over. And you'd be doing "crazy dog" on my face with the licking and rolling on the floor. Dippy would bark at you. Those were good times Murphy, and you were central to them. Love you forever Murphy. Daddy

Hi Murph. Sorry, I'm a little late. I was caught up in the news. It's been crazy here. The humans are really nuts. They forgot what's really important, like chasing a frisbee, or digging a hole or sniffing a butt. I've lost track of time. I'll bet you don't worry about time, do ya. You've got all the time there is to be had. I wonder if you remember me. I remember you real well. Every moment. You were such a good boy. I remember writing a song on my hand made guitar, and you pawing at the strings because you wanted to play too. I miss you ever day Murphy. And Dippy too. Love, Daddy

Hi Murph, it's the 18th of the month and I always write to you on the 18th. I hope you are where you feel no pain and can feel and sense good things surrounding you. Maybe you can feel a warm feeling or sense my thoughts going out to you. I don't know if wherever you are you can "feel" anything other than free. I smile now when I think about you. The tears have all been shed. Now I smile thinking about Murphy the Great. Christmas is almost here. I'll be thinking of you and how we had our Christmas together. The fireplace, the tree, Momma, Dippy and YOU. That was as good as it gets. I'm glad it happened. Love you Murphy Daddy

Hi Murphy. I can see you wiggling and jumping like you did when I'd come home. I see you in my mind all the time. Every time I see a Goldie, I see you. I hope you've found Dippy and I hope he gets along with everyone. I'm sure time is frozen where you are. It's perpetual bliss and heaven for dogs. When I come to that river and I cross that bridge, I hope to see you on the other side. Until then, I love you Murph. Daddy

Hi Murphy, I'm sorry that I was late. I lost track of time. Things are really strange right now, but I always think about you. I wish I had you here right now. I'd love to brush you like we used to do. I'm sending my thoughts to you right now. I hope you can sense them. I love you Murph. Daddy

Hi Murphy, I was just talking to your momma, and we were talking about how you ate the Christmas decorations on the staircase and always walked under the tree to mess with the ornaments. You did get into some trouble. we used to hide things from you on the mantel of the fireplace, but you'd stand up and try to grab whatever got your attention. But you were just to full of fun to ever scold. I miss you a lot Murphy. What a great dog.
