I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Maddie. Please find comfort in knowing that Maddie is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th, 2001, after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13, Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19, Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20, Firefly 12/20/22, Zachary 02/19/23, Tanner 02/22/24 and Tiger 08/01/24. Dear Cindy, yes, you are right. Four years old is way too soon. Please dont blame yourself : my Buzzy B Bear was put to sleep on 7th August 2025, after being ill for only 2 days (colon cancer). There were no signs - he was his usual happy energetic self until a huge bleed. They can't tell us they feel unwell and you and I know we would rush them to the vet at the first obvious sign of something being wrong. It is so hard when they cross the Bridge - those first days and weeks are awful. Just know that Maddie is warm, safe and well now, and probably reliving all the wonderful memories she has of times spent with you. My love and thoughts are with you. Lynne x

Cindy, I am so sorry for the loss of your precious Maddie. I just recently lost my Odin, and I understand about not catching an illness that took his life. I am sending you many hugs and prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss of Maddie. My heart goes out to you as I know you are struggling with the loss of your precious baby. Your world has lost a very special baby, family member and friend, but the heavens have welcomed home a very special soul. I know you had a special relationship with Maddie that will always be a part of you. I pray that my sweet little girl, Bailey, found Maddie and they’ve become friends. May the love you shared with Maddie continue to warm your heart and I hope you find peace and comfort knowing that your love will bind you together forever. For sweet Maddie, I know that during your lifetime you gave Cindy much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness playing in the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge. From looking at your photo and reading what Cindy wrote for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. For Cindy, I just visited your Maddie's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your precious Fur Angel. I am sure if asked, Maddie would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Hello, pretty Maddie, welcome to sunny Paradise meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Cindy loves and misses you so...she made you a beautiful place and wrote loving words. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase colorful butterflies and trade kitty love headbumps. She'll show you Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind so Cindy hears your sweet meows and purrs and feels a soft touch of your kitty paw in gentle breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly until she comes for you one day to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask she not be so sad but treasure memories of you and remember you're curled up beside your pawprints in her heart forever.
