I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Lily. Please find comfort in knowing that Lily is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th, 2001, after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13, Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19, Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20, Firefly 12/20/22, Zachary 02/19/23, Tanner 02/22/24 and Tiger 08/01/24. For sweet Lily, I know that during your lifetime you gave BettyAnn much joy. Now I am wishing you lots and lots of happiness playing in the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge. From looking at your photo and reading what your Mommy wrote for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Lily, I have two wonderful playmates for you. Their names are Pedro and Keshet and although they are little dogs they are adorable just like you. I know you will be very good friends. For BettyAnn, I just visited your Lily's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your precious Fur Angel. I am sure if asked, Lily would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. BettyAnn: What a thoughtful memorial tribute you have written about Lilibet aka Lily. Doesn’t it seem like forever still would not be long enough? It’s when the quality of life is compromised is when we step in as responsible pet owners and advocate for these innocent souls. And you did. May love continue to ease your sorrow and to guide Oliver who most likely is grieving the loss as well. Grief is clearly a heavy weight to carry no matter who or what is grieving.
