Lexi's love was a gift that still keeps giving. I lost the most amazing friend Meeka over a year ago. I visited her memorial today and my heart still aches. Just like Meeka, Lexi will always be that special dog in our lives.

So sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a family member. We lost our Grady ten years ago and our Sadie, Grady’s sister, seven years ago. Both were very loved! We now have Finn, a Miniature Pincher, who is eight pounds and nine years old, who we got when he was 8 weeks old. Max reminds me a lot of Finn! Then 3 years ago last September, we adopted Finn’s sister, Mimi, who looks a lot like a Shih Tzu, who had been removed from a bad situation, who is also nine years old now and weighs 12 pounds. They are both very loved and very spoiled!

No longer by our side but forever in our hearts. Lexi was a special friend I can see that. I just finished reading your book Pawprints on our hearts. A beautiful tribute to all our furry friends. You are an amazing human being.

Your book, Pawprints On Our Hearts, was probably the best book I have ever read. I touched my heart and made me cry as I could relate to many of your stories and feelings. My dogs have helped me through some very dark days. They share a love like no human can. They never hold a grudge, they just want to please you and know you love them back. I can't wait to read your next book. Thank you for writing books that help us and these beautiful creatures, our soul mates, our four-legged family members.

Kerk, my heart goes out to you in your loss of Lexi. I too lost my soul dog Riley, a 15 lb. black Shih tzu, on February 16, 2020. Your book resonated with me in more than one way. I too have been searching for my true purpose in life, besides financial success and possessions, and also struggle with fear vs. faith. Since Riley's passing, Ive written many checks to various dog rescues, and volunteer at a local rescue in Syracuse NY, but it still doesn't feel like its enough. Page 123 of your book really spoke to me, not only about listening to your heart and discovering your purpose, but also your revelation date of Feb 2020, which is when I lost my precious baby boy Riley. Nothing has been the same since. Unfortunately, I have not allowed myself to love like that again since. Maybe it's time. Thank you and all that you do for all of these rescue animals. God bless!❤️

Your story and Lexi's brought back emotional memories for me and my Otto, a poodle/dachsund mix. As a professional writer, I know that the best stories are ones you've lived and make you feel something. I wish every child could have their Lexi or Otto. The world would be a better place.
