I truly believe that every life is precious, every life has meaning and every life has a destiny. No matter how big or how small. Animal and human. We all share this world and this life and our souls are connected. Your furry child is still alive but in God's beautiful heaven and the love you share will find it's way to heaven and back. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Jackson. Please find comfort in knowing that Jackson is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, and Shelby 6/12/18. I am sure that Jackson and my babies have all become good friends. Aww, how sweet of you to do this. Jackson was your first 'baby'. In turn he raised you to be a fine young man, husband and father. It was hard work for him ;) but he was such a good dog, he succeeded! When you feel that empty space in your heart, try to think back to those special moments you had with him. I thin of his head drifting backward as he would gaze into the sky; his digging in the dirt and 'capturing' things from the ground; his gentleness with little babies that would hug him in an awkward way; digging in the snow, his joy out hiking with you.... and on and on.
