David, Your story was both beautiful and incredibly sad! I have to say that I'm jealous that you had 13 years with your beloved baby! We only had 3 with our big boy Timber! Just like you we had our daily routines. That I think is what I will miss the most. This is day 3 after having put him to sleep! The vet said he was very ill and there was no other option. Yet he never cried or whined! They say he put up a brave front because he loved us all so much. I never thought I could love an animal as fiercely as I did my Timber. They truly know how to bring out the best in us. The tears are still flowing and I feel no amount of time passed will change this. I do so look forward to being with him again because he was taken from us way too soon. I am sorry for your loss and I hope you find comfort in the memories you have of you and Gonzo together.

Dear Gonzo, I've e-mailed back and forth with David (my sons name also), just a couple of old fools trying to make each other feel better when we both know the loss we have suffered never really gets "better". AS Willy Nelson says in a recent song "you never get over it, you just get used to it". If you haven't already, look up Littleman and all his friends from my colony. I'm sure you'll have a ball together. Bring David special dreams and surefire signs, it will help him some. Take Care. Jack

David, I hope you don't mind but, I looked up your Gonzo. What a handsome and special boy he is!!! As I read your words(couldn't get through them all as I couldn't see due to tears), looked at his pictures, and read the sayings, my heart broke for you and again for my Tori. If you would like, please visit Tori at her residency. She loves making new friends and I'm sure she is hanging out with Gonzo until we are all reunited one joyous day in the future. I am so very sorry for your loss. It's a hurt like no other. Here is a quote that I think applies to how we both feel about our amazing furbabies: "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." Winnie the Pooh Roberta

David...a beautiful tribute to a great friend. Gonzo is a beautiful boy. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Be sure to know he is happy, healthy and playing with Oreo, Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them at the Bridge. I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care..

Gonzo you are truly an inspiration, you've beat the odds. You've impressed the world with your will to live. You will continue to live in our memories, gone but not forgotten until shall meet again. Waiting loyally at the gates to greet your fur family with that same love and devotion you've given so far. So this isn't goodbye, just so long for now.

Dear David, What a beautiful memorial page you made for Gonzo. Being an animal lover/owner most of my life (mostly dogs, but some cats thrown in for good measure), I know that deep heartache we feel when we lose one so special to us. I do hope, with time, the sadness will ease and those good memories of Gonzo will bring a smile to your face when you think of him. I truly believe we will be united with those special, precious ones we had with us on earth. Blessings, Dianna

So sorry for your loss. What a great character Gonzo must have been ! My little dog who passed 2 years ago pulled me through a major stroke, just like Gonzo did for you. They are our hero's.

I am so sorry for your loss of Gonzo. My heart goes out to you as I know you are struggling so with the loss of your precious baby. Your world has lost a very special baby, family member and friend, but the heavens have welcomed home a very special soul. Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain. I know you had a special relationship with Gonzo that will always be a part of you. I pray that my sweet little girl, Bailey, found Gonzo and they have become friends. May the precious love you shared with Gonzo continue to warm your heart and I hope you find peace and comfort knowing that your love will bind you together forever. Peace and blessings to you. My precious Bailey left our world December 5th, 2013 and we miss her so. Please visit my Bailey at http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/BAILE364/Resident.htm

Dear Gonzo, how purrfectly handsome you are! Please go to the Bridge and purr your precious love down the Rainbow straight into the heart of your daddy who misses you so much, and he will send his love right back to you on angels' wings. Dear David, your world has lost a very special furpurrson, family member and friend, and heaven has welcomed Home a very special soul. Gonzo is now your very own angel, watching over and for you, just as Callie, Tashi, Katy and BG are watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May his sweet presence continually nuzzle your heart until then, and may you find comfort in knowing that the silver thread of love that binds you heart to heart with Gonzo will never be broken. Many blessings and much peace, Clare and Martha...Please visit our Callie at http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/CALLI052/resident.HTM

For sweet Gonzo, I know that during your lifetime you gave David much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness playing in the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge. From looking at your photo and reading what David wrote for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Gonzo, I have a wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and although he is a little dog he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For David, I just visited your Gonzo's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your precious Fur Angel. I am sure if asked, Gonzo would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Having lost my little dog Pedro I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Gonzo. Wishing you all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom).
