We lost our Cinders in February of this year.. we loved her so very very much. Her memorial is easy to find seeing there are not many dogs worthy of that name. I'm sorry I didn't take the time before now to write you and visit your sweet Cinders ... We do fall in love with them, they are family. God bless you and Tom and bless you for your rescue work Gary

Hello Paula, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Cinders. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane.

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember how your baby’s paw prints touched your life, be the ones that bloom in your heart this Holiday Season. My prayer for all of us this blessed season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us during the Holidays. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it the most....And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved Cinders bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your baby-angel would want for you this year...God bless, and best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty, DJ, Patches, and Momma’s mom)

Oh Paula: I live in Florida and I am so proud of all of us who rescue these furry little creatures. My dogs always passed in July, even in Ohio. I wonder if the heat and heavy air is just too much. Cinders sounds like Miss Roxie, who doesn't much think of herself as less than human and still has issues using the grass for doing her duty. I am glad you listened to your spirit and made it home in time to be with her. What a wonderful thing when we follow our own feelings. I wonder if Cinders is still around. Someone told me once, Lovie, my first friend, is still hanging around my feet and sleeps in my neck though she rather thinks Roxie is too spoiled. Any way, thanks for sharing. It means a lot to me. God bless you and Cinders aka Cinderella. Love and kisses, Radio Chicks Miss April and Miss Roxie

Paula, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. We are sure that beautiful Cinders and Nikki Mae have become good friends and are now having so much fun playing and running again. Please visit our Nikki Mae at:

Dear Paula, I was deeply touched by your story of Cinders. She was a special friend, still is and always will be. If you will just close your eyes for a moment you will see your dear Cinders at Rainbow Bridge. She wants you to know she has made friends to play with and is bathed in beautiful sunshine. She is healthy, happy, pain free, and is showered with love. It is important to her for you to know all is well at beautiful Rainbow Bridge.

Paula, your story of Cinders broke my heart. Your words really brought her to life for me, as if I knew her. All her little quirky ways are now the memories that you cherish! I thank you for rescuing her and giving her YEARS of onconditional love. I also had to make the decision we all hate to make. I never regretted it, I know it's what was best for my Billy. Billy loved dogs, maybe him and Cinder are up there chasing each other, playing and waiting for us to return. Cherish those memories my friend.. I replay them in my head daily! Feel free to visit Billy

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Cinders. Please find comfort in knowing that Cinders is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. Just recently on January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. Spooky never met Hannah but I am sure Spooky greeted Hannah at the bridge. I am sure that Cinders, Spooky, and Hannah have become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: Take Care, Susan

Dear Paula I'm sorry for the loss of your Cinders. What a beautiful tribute for a perfect friend and a beautiful girl. I lost my Finnbar unexpectedly in December.I understand how hard it is to say goodbye. When its time you'll be together again just as it should be. Until then Cinders is waiting for you at the bridge happy and healthy. She's young again and even more perfect than you remember. There are new places to explore,so much space to run like the wind and all the good treats she can eat. When she needs a break there's meadows to lie in the sun. She's having a ball with her new friends all the while still keeping an eye on you. I hope she's met Finn by now. He's a friendly little cat but he's scrappy and he can catch. If you would care to visit my Finnbar

Paula, As I read the story of your beautiful Cinders, it reminded me of my story and my buddy Spongebob. What a blessing you had and she had in you. I'm sorry that she had such a time in the end, but now she is running free and healthy. Maybe even she has met up with my sponge bob.

Paula, I am sorry for the loss of your beautiful Cinders. What a lovely tribute you wrote about her. I enjoyed reading about her life. You are a loving person, especially to rescue dogs. It is very hard letting our furbabies leave us, but in the end we know that dreadful decision is the right one. I know.... Please visit my Penny. God Bless.
