Rob...Chinook is a beautiful boy with a great smile. He has certainly left his forever print in your heart and yours in his.Yours is one of the most beautify life experiences I have read. Experience I mean by you had so much love for one another, even when you were apart.I can see why he did not wish for you to make the decision.I also do not believe in much, but I do believe in the Rainbow and we all will be united again free of pain and sickness. Watch for him, when you least expect it, he will come to visit as my babies have done for me.I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit...take care...

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Chinook. Please find comfort in knowing that Chinook is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. I am sure that Chinook and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: Take Care, Susan

Hi Rob, I'm very sorry about Chinook. I'm scared of big dogs so much, but I saw Chinook, I'm looking at him, and I liked him. He made me so happy, I went to go walk with him, and he looked back to you, and I had the feeling that he loved you a lot. And he was very happy to stay with you and be part of your family. We cannot stop dying. We know the day we are born, but not the day we die. I hope soon when you retire and have time, you can have a new dog, and can take of him. I miss him too, like when you sent photos of him. I will remember him forever. Take care. Duang

Rob, We only met Chinook one time at your house in Tennessee, but we liked him immediately and Duang really enjoyed being with him, and she is normally very scared of big dogs. We liked a lot how he would howl when he wanted to talk to us. I'm sure you'll remember him always, but will also find a new friendship with a puppy that is sure to enter your life soon. Dave

A wonderful and fitting tribute to your best friend. There will be a terrible empty space in your life for a long time, but take is kind, so you will be left with only happy memories.

I'm sorry to hear of chinook's passing. But after reading the lovely story you've written about your life and experiences with him, I can see how much you two shared together and how much love was involved. How fortunate you are that fate put you together.

Hello Rob, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Chinook Saghali Connor. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane.

Dear Rob I'm sorry for the loss of your Chinook. What a beautiful tribute. I lost my Finnbar December 2012.I understand how hard it is to say goodbye. When its time you'll be together again just as it should be.Until then Chinook is waiting for you at the bridge. It looks like he's in good company. There are new places to explore so much space to run like the wind all the good treats and when he needs a break, meadows to lie in the sun. He's having a ball with his new friends all the while still keeping an eye on you.I hope he's met Finn by now. He's a friendly little cat but he's scrappy and he can. If you would care to visit my Finnbar

Dear Chinook Saghali Connor, you are truly handsome. Please go to the Bridge and send your precious love down the Rainbow straight into the heart of your dad who misses you so much, and he will send his love right back to you on angels' wings. Dear Rob, your world has lost a very special furperson, family member and friend, and heaven has welcomed Home a very special soul. Chinook, along with Buster and Rexee, is now your very own angel, watching over and for you, just as Tashi, Katy and BG are watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May their precious love continually nuzzle your heart until then, and may you find comfort in knowing that the silver thread of love that binds you heart to heart with Chinook, Buster and Rexee will never be broken. Many blessings and much peace, Clare and Martha...Please visit our Tashi at

For sweet Chinook Saghali Conner, I know that during your lifetime you gave Rob much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness at Rainbows Bridge. From looking at your photo and reading what Rob wrote for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Chinook I have a wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For Rob, I just visited Chinook's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I am sure if asked, Chinook would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Having lost my little boy Pedro I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Chinook. Wishing you all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom)
