"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember how your baby’s paw prints touched your life, be the ones that bloom in your heart this Holiday Season. My prayer for all of us this Christmas season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us during this blessed season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it the most....And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved Butkus bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your baby-angel would want for you this year...Best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty, DJ, Patches, and Momma’s mom) http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

We are so sorry to hear of Butkus's passing. The bring us such love and joy and ask for so little in return. Our hearts are with you and with Butkus-we hope that he's met up with Gus and that they are enjoying each other's company and being cancer-free. We will keep all of you in our thoughts.

Don/MaryJo..a great tribute to a great friend. It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us and labs leave them like no other.Butkus is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge.I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care...

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Butkus. Please find comfort in knowing that Butkus is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. Just recently on January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. Spooky never met Hannah but I am sure Spooky greeted Hannah at the bridge. I am sure that Butkus, Spooky, and Hannah have become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Don and Mary Jo, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. We are sure that beautiful Butkus and Nikki Mae have become good friends and are now having so much fun playing and running again. Please visit our Nikki Mae at: http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/NIKKI115/Resident.htm

For sweet Butkus, I know that during your lifetime you gave Don and Mary Jo much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness at Rainbows Bridge. From looking at the beautiful residency that your family created just for you and reading what was written for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Butkus I have a wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For Don and Mary Jo, I just visited Butkus' Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I am sure if asked, Butkus would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Last January I lost my little boy Pedro so I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Butkus. Wishing you both all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom)

Dear Don & Mary Jo I'm sorry for the loss of your Butkus. What a beautiful tribute for a perfect friend. I lost my Finnbar in December.I understand how hard it is to say goodbye. When its time you'll be together again just as it should be. Until then Butkus is waiting for you at the bridge happy and healthy. No pain. Plenty of room to run and play. He's having a ball with his new friends all the while still keeping an eye on you. I hope he's met Finn by now. He's a cat but he's scrappy and he can catch. If you would care to visit my Finnbar http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/FINNB001/Resident.htm

Dear Mary Jo and Don, You wrote such a beautiful tribute to your beloved Butkus. I truly understand your feelings and how this loss affects ones life. Our Camilla was our golden sunshine and then when we had to say goodbye to her, Rainbow Bridge was there for us. You can see him play, being happy, healthy and know someday you will hold him in your arms again for all time. Always know that. Mimi K

Dear Butkus, you are truly cherished! Please go to the Bridge and send your precious love down the Rainbow straight into the hearts of your mommy and daddy who miss you so much, and they will send their love right back to you on angels' wings. Don and Mary Jo, your world has lost a very special furperson, family member and friend, and heaven has welcomed home a very special soul. Butkus is now your very own angel, watching over and for you, just as Katy and BG are watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May his sweet love continually hug your hearts until then, and may you find comfort in knowing that the silver thread of love that binds you heart to heart with Butkus will never be broken. Blessings and peace, Clare and Martha...Please visit our Katy at http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/KATY004/resident.HTM

Hello, handsome Butkus, welcome to the sunny meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Mom and Dad love and miss you so...they made you a beautiful place and wrote loving words about you. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase sunbeams, rainbows, and balls and give you special kitty love headbumps. She'll show you wonders of Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind so Mom and Dad feel your loving presence with them and sweet kisses in gentle breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly until they come to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask they not be so sad but treasure your memory and remember you're nestled beside your pawprints deep in their hearts forever. Play meadow games with furangels but stop often to smile at Mom and Dad so they feel the warmth of your love surround them and know you miss them and are with them. Soar among clouds on silvery new angel wings to watch over Mom and Dad always, beloved Butkus. Pressy's Grandpa
