We lost my mom's beloved Abby yesterday, and my uncle shared this site with us. Curious if anyone in our area had used the site, I looked for both Bishop & Mammoth. Naturally, I found your pal Bandit. I just wanted to say it sounds like Bandit had a wonderful life here in the Sierra. No doubt you still feel the sting of loosing your friend. I hope our friends are playing together at Rainbows Bridge. Abby was a timid dog as well. If you haven't already, maybe one day you will rescue another shelter dog. I think they are some of the best dogs. They seem to know they were rescued. Best Wishes, Christie

"God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember how your baby’s paw prints touched your life, be the ones that bloom in your heart this Holiday Season. My prayer for all of us this Christmas season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us during this blessed season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it the most....And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved Bandit bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your baby-angel would want for you this year...Best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty, DJ, Patches, and Momma’s mom)

To precious Bandit, a new angel at the Rainbow... I’m sure that with your new feather-soft guardian angel wings, you now so lovingly watch over your family back here. And I just know, too, Booj, that you’ve found the coziest & softest places to take your sunshine filled Rainbow-colored doggy naps, haven't you... May butterflies grace your dreams as you sleep… And may each time you look up and see that wondrously magical Rainbow, may you know that Colleen and all those who loved you back here have helped make it shine a little brighter for you. How? With their tears, sweet baby. You see, each love-drop filled tear here has mixed with the sunshine there at your new home, and your Rainbow shines even brighter for you now..... An old Indian proverb: "The Soul would have no Rainbow if the Eyes had No Tears" says it best... You now find rest in the Arms of God's very own Angels...what more could have ever been wished for you? What more could have ever been wished...Rest well, little one.

Colleen, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. We are sure that beautiful Bandit and Nikki Mae have become good friends and are now having so much fun playing and running again. Please visit our Nikki Mae at:

Hello, handsome Bandit. We're sorry we've not visited sooner but we didn't know about you. Our Pressy is the little old gray lady kitty who plays in golden sunbeams and chases bright rainbows and colorful meadow butterflies with you. Pressy asked her family to visit doggie playmate Bandit. She said she gives you special kitty love headbumps and taught you to send love signs on the wind so Mommy feels your loving presence with her and sweet kisses when gentle breezes blow. Pressy said you send love signs to tell her you're in Paradise meadow watching over her waiting until she comes for you one day to cross Rainbow Bridge to be together forever. Play happy meadow games with other furangels in beautiful Paradise but stop often to smile at Mommy so she feels the warmth of your love surround her and knows you miss her too and are with her. Soar among clouds now on silvery angel wings to watch over Mommy always, beloved Booj. Pressy's Grandpa

Dear Bandit, you are so handsome! Please go to the Bridge and send your precious love down the Rainbow straight into the heart of your mommy who misses you so much, and she will send her love right back to you on angels' wings. Colleen, your world has lost a very special furperson, family member and friend, and heaven has welcomed home a very special soul. Bandit is now your very own angel, watching over and for you, just as Katy and BG are watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May his sweet love continually hug your heart until then, and may you find comfort in knowing that the silver thread of love that binds you heart to heart with Bandit will never be broken. Blessings and peace, Clare and Martha....Please visit our Katy at

For Colleen, I just visited Bandit's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. Last January I lost my little boy Pedro so I can understand how you must be feeling. From looking at Bandit's photo and reading about all his adventures it is obvious that Bandit came from a very warm and loving home. I am sure if asked, Bandit would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Wishing you all the best always, Rosalind (Pedro's mom)
