To Babe, Hey sweetie! Your mommy still misses you very much. She has wrote some wonderful stories about you and thoughts of missing you. When you get a minute, reach down with your paw and touch her heart. Let her know she it's ok to be sad but you are whole again and when the time is right, you will meet her at the rainbow bridge. Until that time comes, let her know that whenever she feels sad that all she has to do is put her hand to her heart. That's how you keep her close to you. Babe? Look for my Baby Bee. Tell her mommy misses her and wait for me as well. Thanks.

Emily & Derrick, Due to a temporary absence from RB I did not write to you sooner: but your story and the love you have for Babe really touched my heart. What a tragic accident and in no way are you to blame! Motorists are far too careless over animals who stray into the road: and need to be taught as much care and consideration for animals as if it were a human in their way! I can see how heart-broken you are 3 months on from this dreadful event which must have come as a terrible shock to you. It will take time to come to terms with this senseless ending of a beautiful and innocent life taken from you after only 2 years. RTA fatalities are usually instantaneous and I hope this was so for your precious girl: your pretty baby whom you miss so much. My heart goes out to you for this sad loss of Babe who would have been instantly transported to Heaven and immediately healed of her injuries by a Loving Creator Who has taken her safely home. Thank you for rescuing her and giving her love.

Hello, pretty Babe, welcome to the meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Mommy and Daddy love and miss you so...they made you a beautiful place and wrote loving words about you. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase rainbows and give you special kitty love headbumps. She'll show you wonders of Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind so Mommy and Daddy feel your loving presence with them and sweet kisses in gentle breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly until they come to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask they not be so sad but treasure your memory and remember you're nestled beside your pawprints deep in their hearts forever. Play meadow games with furangels but stop often to smile at Mommy and Daddy so they feel the warmth of your love surround them and know you miss them too and are with them. Soar among clouds on silvery new angel wings to watch over Mommy and Daddy always, beloved sweet pretty girl. Pressy's Grandpa

Dear Emily and Derrick, Please accept my condolences on the death of your friend Babe. She was a legend, from the day you adopted her until she so sadly passed away. It's so hard to say goodbye, and I know Bullet must be grieving too! It's SO AWESOME that you adopted another pup, Lola- it's really pretty incredible how much love we can find in ourselves when we follow our pups' lead! They do show us how to always have an open heart and watch for life to drop things for us to pick up! I hope that it gives you comfort to know that you are thought of! -Megan in PHL, with Dexter "Big Essie" (Bernese mountain dog) and Rinchen (Chow Chow)

Emily/Derrick..Babe is a beautiful girl with a great smile and is very lucky to have you as her forever family. She looks so happy the day you brought her home..a beautiful tribute for a great friend. It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us. She is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge, they are gone from our site but never forgotten. I can send you my babies site if you wish to visit..take care..

Emily and Derrick, so sorry about what happened to Babe. My kittie Joey was hit by a car a few months ago. It broke my heart when I found him and had to have him put down... He was 16 years old and had crossed the same small quiet road for that amount of time. I knew someone on our street had hit him and I hated them all for awhile.....It takes awhile to get over it and I still have weepy moments...It sounds like you gave Babe a wonderful life and he was lucky to have you as owners....

I am so truly sorry to hear of your loss of Babe, a beautiful fur baby and I know you will miss the unconditional love and loyalty Babe gave to you. I have two rescued - one from Louisiana and one from Oklahoma. Somehow the rescued ones become even more important to us. I heart your treasured memories will help your hearts to heal.

Emily, Derrick: I’m sorry for your loss. Know that you are not alone. I, too, have lost a beloved pet; everyone in this website have. We feel the pain that you feel; we’ve suffered the loneliness that you suffer, at not having our beloved pet by our side anymore. But we all feel the same relief---that where our beloved pets are now, they’re safe, and happy, and content, whatever afflicted them in this life is gone. Babe's injury is now fully healed, and that tragic accident of April 6 won't happen at Rainbow Bridge. And we all share the same hope---one day, we will be together again with our beloved ones. My baby, a female Beagle named River, left for Rainbow Bridge on March 21, 2017; here she is now---

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Babe. Please find comfort in knowing that Babe is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. On March 20, 2017 my sweet little calico Gabbi crossed over Rainbow's Bridge. I adopted her about a month after Spooky passed away and Gabbi also lived to be almost 16 years old. I am sure that Babe and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: Take Care, Susan

Emily and Derrick- Your patience and understanding of your spirited gal, Babe, will always be cherished, as you sift through memories to help bring comfort in your time of need. Her life span was (too) brief, yet she was loved endlessly. I am so deeply sorry for your tragic loss; may her passions run freely through the meadows at Rainbow Bridge. I've placed a blanket at her resting place to cuddle in peace.
