Dear Joanne, I found your Augie's page, as I was searching the list for my own Auggie, who just passed away a little over a week ago at the age of 19. We also named our boy after the cartoon Auggie Doggie. I pray everyday that our babies are in heaven. I know how missed these babies will always be. RIP sweet Augie, I will pray that your mom and family will be comforted, knowing that you were so loved, and still are!

Hello , I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Augie. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane.

Augie it took me awhile to write to you! I really had a hard time accepting that you are gone. I miss you so much but I know you are in a happy place and with out any pain! You are such a smart boy and always got special treatment but you deserved it! I loved how you would only sleep between my legs nowhere else lol but would wake me up with kisses. I loved how if we were sitting down you would always have to have your paw on someone's leg! I loved how you protected you family but was the biggest mush of all time! I love how you would play tricks to get a treat but we learned your ways! I love you my boy you out up a huge fight and you did it with pride! And those kisses before you left us is totally you! Family always came first! Rest well between gods legs and I hope you have all the rawhide you could ever want! I love you!

Joanne - I'm very sorry for your loss of Augie. Your tribute is very touching. I sincerely hope that as the pain of losing him fades that you're left with nothing but wonderful memories of the time he shared in your lives. I trust that my Gypsy was there to greet him and together they are running through the tall cool grass and the bright light beyond the Rainbow Bridge. (

To Augie, a new angel at the Rainbow... I just know by now you’ve found the coziest & softest places to take your rainbow colored doggie naps, haven’t you… Remember, little doggy, that each time you look up and see that wondrously magical Rainbow there, just know that your family here has actually helped make it shine a little brighter. How? With their tears, sweet baby. Each of their love-drop filled tears have mixed with the sunshine there at your new home, and your Rainbow there shines even brighter for you now.... An old Indian proverb: "The Soul would have no Rainbow if the Eyes had No Tears" says it best... You now find rest in the Arms of the Angels...what more could your family have ever wished for you sweet baby? Rest well, little one… Rest well, dear Augie. Karen, Dusty, Momma, DJ & Patches’ mom.

I pray that you find comfort every day. Our pets are so precious. They have a heart, a soul, have so much love for us and always want to be with us as us with them. I would hurry home from work everyday to see my little guy. He was a cat and I named him Alley Cat. I found him a little over two years ago. Staggering and falling down in the street in a very bad neighborhood. He had no hair, no nails, no whiskers, diabetic, eight bad teeth and had buckshot in him. Vet wanted to put him down several times. I couldn't do that because I know that Hod meant for us to be together. He had lots of hair, grew his nails and whiskers back, had eight teeth pulled and on insulin. Also made it to 12 pounds. He was my hero. Then when all looked better, came the nasty Cancer. Rear hip bone cancer. He was in so much pain. Moaning and his eyes were so sad. November 7 was the day he left. I had to make the decision to send him away. The hurt will always be there. He had a very big heart Tell me how u r

For sweet Augie, I know that during your lifetime you gave Joanne much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness in the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge. From looking at your photos and reading what Joanne wrote for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Augie I have a wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For Joanne, I just visited Augie's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your precious furangel. I am sure if asked, Augie would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Having lost my little dog Pedro I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Augie. Wishing you all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom)

Dear Joanne I'm sorry for the loss of your Augie. What a handsome guy.I lost my Finnbar December 2012.I understand how hard it is to say goodbye. When its time you'll be together again just as it should be.Until then Augie is waiting for you at Rainbowsbridge happy and healthy. There are new places to explore so much space to run like the wind all the good treats and when he needs a break, meadows to lie in the sun. He's having a ball with his new friends all the while still keeping an eye on you.I hope he's met Finn by now. He's a friendly little cat but he's scrappy and he can catch. If you would care to visit my Finnbar

Augie I am sorry for your loss. Joanne loves and misses you very much. My Perseus went to Rainbow Bridge when he was 14. There are no more aches or pains. No rain only sunshine. Running and playing all day with the other furbabies. One day we will join them for all eternity at Rainbow Bridge.

Dear Augie, you are truly handsome. Please go to the Bridge and send your precious love down the Rainbow straight into the hearts of your family who miss you so much, and they will send their love right back to you on angels' wings. Dear Joanne, your world has lost a very special furperson, family member and friend, and heaven has welcomed Home a very special soul. Augie is now your very own angel, watching over and for you, just as Tashi, Katy and BG are watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May his sweet love continually nuzzle your heart until then, and may you find comfort in knowing that the silver thread of love that binds you heart to heart with Augie will never be broken. Many blessings and much peace, Clare and Martha...Please visit our Tashi at

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Augie. Please find comfort in knowing that Augie is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. I am sure that Augie and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: Take Care, Susan
