I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Archie. Please find comfort in knowing that Archie is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th, 2001, after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13, Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, Shelby 6/12/18, Bear 11/17/19, Bella and Murphy who were both tragically poisoned on 06/18/20, Firefly 12/20/22, Zachary 02/19/23, Tanner 02/22/24 and Tiger 08/01/24. Dear Elisa, oh, my goodness, what a cute little 'button' Archie was, and in fact, still is! No doubt you were chosen by him to be his mother! It is so hard and lonely when they first cross the Big Bridge, but please know that Archie is safe, healthy, warm and happy and no doubt dreaming of all the cuddles and fantastic times he shared with you. I am sure if he could, apart from telling you how much he loved (and still loves) you, he would say a huge Thank You for all you did for him. My love and thoughts are with you. Lynne x

What a wonderful blessing it is to have had such a fantastic friend. It seems unfair that we outlive our companions. I like to think that our furry friends are angels, sent for a short time to accompany us on life’s journey. I know too well the loss you must feel at Archie’s departure. Please know you are not alone in this grief. They certainly seem to leave paw sized holes in our hearts. What I can tell you for certain is that this love and this pain of loss, while it never fully disappears, does soften its edges over time. The hurt becomes less sharp and is replaced with bitter sweet memories of the time you had together. I am 3 years out from the loss of my best friend and while I still shed tears from time to time, I find that I am able to smile more often when I think of him now. I know that this too will come to pass for you, and I pray it finds you quickly. For now, Archie is in no pain and is as happy as he could possibly be while he waits for you at the rainbow bridge!

For sweet Archie, I know that during your lifetime you gave Elisa much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness playing in the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge. From looking at your photo and at the beautiful residency that Elisa created just for you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Archie, I have two wonderful playmates for you. Their names are Pedro and Keshet and both are adorable just like you. I know you will be very good friends. For Elisa, I just visited your Archie's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your precious Fur Angel. I am sure if asked, Archie would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing.
