Jill so glad you found us. Yes, I was unable to get you a peevirw of the blog yesterday, but I see you found it (and all our emoticons!) today. People are sharing such raw yet wonderful stories. I'm in one of those starting over phases myself right now not from scratch, but just trying to pause, catch my breath and figure out the next steps. My father passed away last month, and he left a void bigger than I imagined it would be. Suddenly my schedule is off. Things that used to be a priority are no longer prescribed parts of my day. I thought casting off that extra stress might be a relief, but instead I just feel sort of lost. But starting over takes time. I accept that. Thanks for all the sharing.

"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened" -Anatole France - I have found such profound truth in that statement.... I believe in my heart, that is why we never forget the joy, the love, the very presence of our babies even after they've gone. You see, the part of us they've awoken simply never again falls asleep inside us! Instead, the cherished memories of their love, their very "presence" in our lives, keeps their flame eternally glowing in our hearts, no matter how little...or how long of a time has gone by since they've left our side.... May Abbie's flame continue to burn brightly and shine eternally in your heart... With wishes of the warmest and happiest of Holiday seasons this year to your entire family.......... from, Karen (Dusty's mommy)....... http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/DUSTY101/Resident.htm

I am so sorry for your loss. I have known about Rainbow Bridge for some time now, but today I come because our family too has lost a special member. Our Beloved Lady Bug. She was actually my son Tom's dog since Army days. They lived together south of me about 1000 miles. We as a family will be talking over with Tom what and how much to do in memory of Lady here at Rainbow Bridge. One thing I knew I could do was walk the journey some of the way with another animal lover who undestands our loss. Hoping for you and each of us here, that time will in fact heal the pain and warm your heart with the memories of your Beloved Pet.
