....Hey WinkyTink...it's now been three years since we lost you....but no memories have faded or dimmed. Liz, Scout, Wongo, and Winnie, and me(Dad) still miss you terribly. WE have a couple of new arrivals who are trying to work into the mix, Tomboy and Beezee(don't ask). I sure hope you have gotten up wut Houston and Ivan and you guys are having a ball. 07/31/2019 Hey Winky Tink...four years have now passed since you left us for the Rainbow Bridge. Except for missing you more than anything, everything else is much the same. We still sit on the back porch and imagine you walking under our feet and sleeping out by the pump house. Scout, Wongo, and Winnie are all doing well. Wongo is thriving..even with the FIV. Dr. Amy is doing a great job! Tom stays down at Sharons a good bit and is well. BZ is going to have some dental extractions in Auburn at the vet school next month for his chronic stomatitis and will be a "new" cat afterwards. Mom and I sure miss you and hope you have only fun and magical days with Ivan, Houston, and your other new friends. Give them kitty hugs from us. Remember to stop from time to time and you will hear all of us calling to you..waiting until we can all be together. We love you Winky Tink and will never forget you. 07/17/20 Hey Winky Tink Boy...it's been five years now since you left us for the Rainbow Bridge and your memory has never and will NEVER dim!!!. Things are changing in the human world..not always for the better...BZ had his dental extraction and is doing GREAT!! Scout is 17 now and hanging in there..tough as nails. Winnie is still QUEEN Winnie and sassy as ever. Wongo remains healthy as a horse with his FIV in check..yea!!We still think of you and imagine you walking under our feet and sleeping out by the pump house, but now, we may be moving out to Texas soon to be with my mom and brother. We'll let you know more about that. Tom is still down at Sharons with Popcorn and a new kitten..Molly, but I call her teacup. You guys would love playing together. Mom and I miss you so much and hope you have only fun and magical days with Ivan, Houston, and your other friends. Give them kitty hugs from us. 07/13/21 Hey Winky Tink...well fellow, another year has gone by! AS you can see from your lofty perch 0n the Rainbow Bridge, we are still here in the same house. Scout, Winnie, and BZ are all doing great and send all their love and kitty hugs to you. Unfortunately, our beloved King Wongo and someone who loved you, developed lymphoma last August and we had him put to sleep here at the house. The FIV finally wore his immune system down but he fought hard. It was sad, but uplifting to know that he was going to join you, Houston, Ivan, Wink, and all his other brothers and sisters on the bridge. Now he has a healthy body and is running and playing with you guys. WE adopted a beautiful rescue kitten named Elsa to be your new sister but, she was only with us for a few days when she suddenly passed away at Dr. Amys after being diagnosed with a broken hip. She was only 5 weeks old and we miss her so much. We buried her yesterday in our Pet Cemetary and know you were watching. She was an orange tabby and just like Ivan, she was brought to us when hurricane Elsa was coming our way(although it missed us) and just like Wongo, she had a cut to her left ear which was healing.We wanted so much to raise her in our family, but now she is up there with you guys. So if you haven't met her yet, be on the lookout. She will greet you soon! WE love you WInky Tink and miss you more every day. Tom and Molly say hi to you and are still with Sharon. 07/28/22 Greetings WinkyTink Boy!! This month makes seven years since we lost you. Time may continue to pass but it will never fade you from our memory or diminish our love for you. As you can see from your home, we are still right here where you first met us. This year has brought a few changes, good and bad..which I want to tell you about. Mom, Scout, Winnie, Tomboy, and I are well;however, very unfortunately and sadly, BZ was found to have mouth cancer a couple of months ago. According to the vet, he probably developed it sometime after the first of the year but since we never had a reason to carefully examine the inside of his mouth, it was not discovered until a very late stage. Radical surgery, chemo, and radiation therapy might have added a few months to his life, but the prognosis would not have changed...very poor for this type of cancer which was very destructive to local tissue. So, in the best interest of BZ, we decided to just keep him comfortable, envelope him with constant, kisses, hugs, belly rubs(which he loves) and trips outside to the bushes where he loved to play.... to ultimately let nature takes its course until he tells us he is ready to go and Dr. Amy comes to our house to put him to sleep. We know we are doing the best for BZ but it is breaking all our hearts to see him decline. WinkyTink, when he passes over that rainbow bridge, I expect you and Houston, Ivan, Elsa, and his good buddy Wongo to welcome him with open paws and big kitty smiles!! Also, a solid gray cat came up at the first of the year and divided his time between Sharon's backyard and ours. We named him Gandalf. A couple of months later we started to adopt him but he was suddenly killed when struck by a car on our street. He was killed instantly. I buried him at the rear of our property so he is halfway between Sharon's yard and hours...so he can see both yards where he ran and played. We all miss him very much and hope that you have already met him on your side of the bridge. If so, please show Gandalf the ropes. ...just like BZ, I hope you and the gang gave him a big welcome and you are all running and playing together.
On a happier note, just 4-5 months ago a grey kitten with a white chest and feet showed up from who knows where. He was only about 6 months old and a fireball. We could have named him bullet but, instead, named him Gandel combining Gandalfs gray coat with Elsa being a kitten...I'm too sentimental. Anyway, you and he would be great friends, I know. We officially adopted him and as repayment, he is slowing destroying our home from the inside out and driving the other furballs NUTS. So, as you can read, we have had a few changes this year. What has not changed is that we all miss you very much and send you all our rubs, hugs, and kisses. As I always tell you...when you are running and playing, sometimes, hold your ears into the breeze and listen for us calling out to you. We all can't wait until we are all together again, healthy, happy, and all together. Don't forget us, WinkyTink. We will never forget you!!! All our love...Me, Mom, Scout, Winnie, BZ, Tom, and Gandel. Look out for BZ, as he will be crossing over that rainbow bridge to your side, soon. BZ and you will have great times...forever!

08/10/22 Well WinkyTink...as I advised you in the last update, as of yesterday at 5:50 pm, BZ crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge and to the open paws and kitty smiles of you, Houston, Ivan, Wongo, Elsa, Gandalf, and the rest of your gang. Dr. Amy and Kevin came over and assisted BZ as he peacefully left our world and came to yours. It was so sad, but we also had tears of joy knowing that BZ is now healthy once again and running/playing with all of you and making new friends/seeing old ones. Like I asked, show him the ropes. He'll tell you all about us and about how much we miss all of you and love you so dearly. 07/28/23 Hey WinkyTink...checking in with you on the 8th anniversary month of you leaving us for the beautiful Rainbow Bridge and everything good that a kitty could ever wish for. We think about you every day and I can see you on the patio, out in the yard, and by the pump house. I sure hope you think about us from time to time and know how much we love you. Well...now for the update...me, Mom, Scout, Winnie and Gandel are all here and doing fine. We still haven't moved so you can still visit us anytime. Scout is 20 years old today and doing well...moves a little slower and has a few senior moments but is still King of the castle. He gets a little CBD oil from time to time and a new arthritis injection once a month that seems to help him along. Winnie is still Queen of the castle and fiesty as ever. She is the eater in the family and scarfs up anything left at breakfast or dinner. Gandalf..what can you say...we should have named him electron! He can go from one side of the yard to the other in the blink of an eye..we only see him still when his battery dies and needs a recharge. Now for the Big update. Last November a new stranger showed up...an orange tabby who looks alot like our beautiful Ivan who passed in 2011. It only took about 2 days for him to adopt us and he is now our new family addition. Liz named him Rocky. He is twice as big as Gandal but they now share Alpha male duties. They had some differences to settle for the first month or so but are buds now and go everywhere together. The noises made by the four of them at night while we are watching TV in the bedroom...good Lord!! Half of the den is their toyland. Sharon who lives behind us still has Popcorn and Molly who are doing fine. We also still share taking care of Tom who is thriving and plays with Gandel and Rocky just fine. I guess that is about it except to say..."we love and miss you so much. The same for Houston, Ivan, Wongo, BZ, Elsa, and Gandalf. You give them all a big hug and a kiss from me, Mom, Scout, Winnie, Gandel, and Rocky. We always know when you guys are around and sometimes we can feel you brush past our face or legs. You guys take care of yourselves, run, play, eat everything, and as always...stop from time to time and listen in the breeze for all of us back home calling for you all! We so look forward to crossing that bridge someday and being reunited with all of you...forever and ever!!! All our love...your family on "the other side"...
