Memories of Willie Whiskers
Willie was my first pet as a grownup, and he was my best friend and familiar for many good years. I feel his loss very keenly. There will never be another like him; he is part of my heart forever.

Hi Willie. Today would have been your 13th birthday. I still miss you very much. Life has been difficult this year, and I'm trying hard to be healthy and safe. The kittens are doing well. I pet them and often think of you.

2/17/21
It's been just a little over a year since you left. And I still miss you. The three monsters are doing well. I've not put your life book together just yet. I don't think I'm ready for that; maybe this summer I'll feel up to it. Some days I wonder if I made the right decision in the moment, on that awful day. But I know you were in a lot of pain. You were sick. Now, you never have to feel sick again. I love you, Willie Whiskers.
