Memories of Missy
It seems like yesterday I brought this little girl home from the shelter to nurse her through ear surgery and help her find a home. Turns out, though we didn't know it right away, she had already found her home - with us. After she healed, I had her ready for her first adopt event, cute scarf, ready to go (see pictures). I got to the front door, looked at my husband with tears, and said, "What am I going to do if someone wants her?" We never made it to that adoption event and we became a family at that moment.

She loved her sister, Carley, and her brother, Max, and then about four years after adopting Missy, we added another to our pack, Shana. They all ran this household quite well and became known as the Roake Pack!

Missy never met a dog or person she didn't love, her tail (or nub) was always wagging, she was so happy with her brother and sisters here and was truly a light to the Roake Pack. I am incredibly sad, it just takes my breath away and I keep thinking I will wake up - she'll be back.

I'm not sure how long it will take to fix our hearts. Missy was such a special little dog and if you ever met her, you knew that. And even if you never met her, your thoughts and prayers are so special to us. We especially want to thank Lisa, Happy Pets Mobile Vet, Wanda, and Randy for their thoughtfulness, it means a lot. Missy will indeed live in our broken hearts forever!

Our sweet little Missy girl! We love you and will miss you so! 🐾💖🐾

Please also visit Carley and Shana.
