Memories of Lulu
Ms. Lulu, my little girl, has left this earth and my heart is breaking.

She came to me as a rescue. She was a mess when she came into my life. Lulu was very fear aggressive.

When I went to the pound, she was in this giant run and she was so tiny. Lulu was growling and snapping, as well as pooping and peeing herself. She was about to put down and I simply said, "She's coming home with me. The first six months were interesting. My hands were a bloody mess from all of her bites. She was so scared. We were still CA and I would take Gizmo and Lulu to a doggy daycare that was close to my office. That was the first daycare she got kicked out of. When she moved to Denver, we tried another daycare...she had started to calm a little. Well, the second one kicked her out. Thanks to Dr. Becky, I found an amazing animal behaviorist who taught me how to be an alpha and Lulu calmed down.

I would take Lulu and Gizmo to my office and everyone showed them lots of love and attention. Lu would run over to Cathy's office because the two of them bonded. I found another daycare across the street from my home and Terry was amazing. Lulu took to Terry and wanted to be picked up. When we moved to further out, a doggy taxi would pick the girls up and carry them to and from the daycare. Lulu met Frank one night. He came into my home and Lulu just rolled on her back and peed herself. Frank definitely had that alpha thing going.

We had such grand adventures. We traveled from California to Denver to Wyoming and Utah and to Tennessee. Lulu was a great little traveler. We moved back to California and Lulu kinda of mellowed out....a little. She loved Karen.

Towards the end, she was so tired. The last two weeks were hard for her. The hospice vet came in and, as I held Lulu, she finally left this world. I adored my little girl and miss her so very much. Roxy is still wandering and is confused.

I often wondered who rescued whom. I love my little "Wuwu" and miss you.

Please also visit Gizmo and Spunky.
