Memories of Katie
Katie was a joy to have in my life. She was gentle, sweet, very feminine and a total snuggler. As soon as she saw me go to sit, she was there to be on my lap. She loved to go for walks and ride in the car. Soon as her leash was present, she bounced around and wanted to go. She would hold her leash in her mouth and ask "do I have to lead myself?" She loved squeaky toys and small tennis balls that she could pick bald. Food was a big love of hers. While eating a bacon cheeseburger at the coffee table, she reached up and snatched my bacon right out of the burger. She waited on the end of the bed at night for a treat that we kept in the bedroom. She loved to burrow in a blanket and peek out. She was pretty quiet except when she heard a noise and then the bark from her would have startled any burglar. She was truly an angel girl and will be missed so much everyday. I know she is no longer suffering the effects of diabetes and is again happy and healthy. She wouldn't want me to be so sad and tell me we will once again be together, playing, eating, sleeping and loving each other. Be happy my baby girl--you are deep in my heart which at this time is hurting so badly. Your sister Lilyan misses you too. If I say your name she runs to the door to see if you are coming. We are both grieving for you. There are so many ifs but I have to accept things happened the way they were meant to according to God's plan for you. Be happy my love, I will be with you again. You, Lilyan and I will be together for all eternity.
