Memories of Hank
Twelve and one half years ago I was coming home from the grocery when a van in front of me pulled partly over, opened a door and tossed out who I came to call Hank.
He was scared and ran a couple of small circuits around a small area before coming up to me.
He was maybe about two years old the vet thought.

Hank shared his time with multiple other cats and two Siberian Huskies. All strays, kittens of strays and rescues.
Hank was always an indoor cat and certainly never one to miss a canned food meal.

One day when he didn't show up we became very concerned and searched the house only to find he had pushed through the door hatch to the attic/crawl space in the ceiling. Seems we had some squirrels get in and he felt it was his mission to welcome them.

The photo of Hank was the last one taken. His was so happy just laying on the porch in the sun, getting belly rubbings.
A wonderful local group came not long after to allow him his peaceful rest.
Myself and my wife were able to hold him the whole time.
I honestly feel as if part my soul departed this day.
He will be greatly missed.
