Memories of Cody
Cody, you were my companion, my friend, the one who always listened to me. You would tilt your head and just love when we talked. You sat on my lap early in the morning while I drank my coffee. You really liked when we talked, and in the mornings it was just the two of us. I said "Good Morning" to you each morning for your whole life. You really enjoyed our walks and going for rides. You were truly a trooper. You loved to travel - we went to PA, WV and to the bay to be with Lewey. How you loved the Bay where you and Lewey would go in the boat for crabs and then along the shore line. You could run there without a leash and you loved to walk all around the property. I found some pictures of us in a canoe, that was with Buddy, and when you got out of the canoe you needed to go into the water to wash all the mud off of you. I know you were happy with Buddy, and you enjoyed the canoe very much -- looked very happy laying up front. I remember you and Ninja as puppies. You spent the days together and spent time together checking out the back yard. You always enjoyed walking all along the fence line and you kept all crows and squirrels off the property. You also spent time with Kita. That was fun too. and you enjoyed Kita. And Smoki was also a big part of your life. You and Smoki and Jasper went to Virginia Tech. How lucky you guys were to go to college. You received lots of attention. You were very sociable and loved when the kids came home from school. You would run out to meet them and get your ears rubbed. When I would come home, first from work each day, and later when retired, you would race to the door to greet me, give me lots of kisses, have your ears rubbed, and then run to the mailbox. We did this every time I left the house. Oh what wonderful memories I have of our times together. I loved you so much. You were my life. I miss you, my little one. You were truly special and will always be in my heart and thoughts. Thank you for all those years of unconditional love and devotion. You loved me with all of your heart and you knew I loved you just the same. I will always treasure our time together.
