Memories of Chewie II
it took a while for me to be able to create this without crying. you had just turned 13 years old, you were having some trouble seeing and hearing in your old age. when they diagnosed you with cancer, they said you were too old for surgery or treatment. I didn't know exactly what to do, but I made the decision for you to have the surgery to give you a chance even if it was just a few weeks or months, we cant win the kobeyashi maru, but maybe we can draw a tie? I know it was hard, and scary, being away from the family for the first time in your life in a cage alone in the hospital recovering, hearing the other frightened animals crying all night. I took you out of there as fast as possible, we decided to bring you home, there's no place like home my father once said before he died of cancer at home. I wanted you to see one more snow storm, like you did when you were a puppy playing in snow. you died the day after coming home, we got your snow storm the next day, a blizzard. I like to think it was your way of telling us you were ok now. if I have made any decisions that were wrong please forgive me, I wanted to give you every possible second of life.
