Charlie Boy was the light of our life. He could calm a raging storm and lift any heart. He had a demeanor that would surprise most people. Even vets were amazed by how calm and trusting Charlie could be. He might have growled twice in his life and those were exceptional situations. He never let the challenges of his life interrupt his love. He suffered a burn once but never tried to bite or even growl at anyone when his wounds were treated. He had back surgery and physical therapy but never complained. He recovered with grace and went on to travel across the country. Even then his special personality entertained those on the plane. Eventually, Charlie developed seizures and we were so scared for him. But as usual, Charlie kept going and demonstrated to us, how to live life.
