Memories of Bullet
Bullet was a kind, gentle soul. As a puppy, he loved to play Frisbee and spend time with us. He was more of a people's dog: Didn't care too much about spending time with other dogs, but was totally devoted to his people. I will never forget the first time he was introduced to herding when he was about 3 years old. His instinct was so strong! We thought he would fear sheep, but he jumped right in--we were so proud of him.

As the years went by, Bullet began to show more signs of aging. His poor hips became sore as arthritis set in. But, he was still a happy boy. His pain finally became too great, and we had to make the difficult decision to help him cross to the Rainbow Bridge.

Sweet, gentle Bullet, we will always remember your smile and passion for life. You were our introduction to Cattle Dogs, and we will always fondly remember your headstrong ways!

Rest in peace dear Bullet until we come to see you again. We know that you will have to brush up on your Frisbee skills, but have no doubt that you will be a pro when we meet with you again!

Dear Bullet...we are thinking of you each day as we watch our new fur baby (Gunner) grow. We can't help but remember you. While the pain has eased some, we still feel that empty area when we think of you. We love you, sweet Bullet!!!!

01/03/2011-Hi, Bullet. The holidays were so difficult without you. We remember how you love to open your gifts, sniff them, then play with the paper for hours! We are trying to teach Gunner how to unwrap gifts: Maybe you could help him practice it. We love you Bullet!!

01/02/2012-Hello again sweet Bullet. Again, the holidays were difficult without you...does it get easier?? Gunner is still learning about Christmas and perfecting how to unwrap gifts, but is not yet as skillful as you were at this! Sweet Bullet, we love and miss you so much!

01/07/2013-Sweet Bullet, the holidays were difficult again without you. My sweet baby I hope that you are enjoying your time with all your furbaby friends. Gunner is doing a great job looking after us-you would be proud of him!! We love you and miss you so much, dear Bullet!

12/30/2013-Another year has passed. Your daddy and I miss you so much, we can't believe it's been almost 4 years that you have been at Rainbow Bridge! We hope that you are enjoying all your friends. Gunner is still watching over us and making sure we are OK. We love you!

1/2/2017-It's been a few years since we have written, but know that we love and miss you, Bullet! Gunner is taking care of us and we are in good hands.

1/1/2018-Another year has passed without our sweet boy. We love and miss you dearly, Bullet. Gunner is still watching over us. We love you!

1/6/2020-Sweet Bullet-I have been thinking of you a lot lately. Daddy and I miss you and your loyal, loving spirit. Gunner has been a good boy! We will see you later; in the meantime, be a good boy!!

1/18/2021: So much has happened this past year, Bullet. Our Gunner was treated for cancer. We were scared that he might be joining you sooner than we wanted, but he is doing good after his treatment. You must be watching over all of us. We love and miss you, Bullet and are comforted knowing that we will see you one day. Hope you are practicing your Frisbee!!
