Memories of Billie
Billie was part of a small feral colony that was living on my mother's property since 1999. He was a very friendly cat and loved to go on daily hikes throughout the neighborhood. We built a special house for Billie. In fact, we referred to it as his "condo". He loved his condo. In the winter time, we placed a huge dog bed on the roof of the condo and Billie would jump into the bed and sun himself all day long. We also made a small gazebo for Billie and put a nice, soft bed in it. His gazebo was next to his condo and was hidden by a large bush. During the warm weather of spring and summer, Billie would sleep in his gazebo. Billie was a Tuxedo. We gave him the nickname "Penguin" because he looked like a little Penguin. Billie loved life and just wanted to have fun. His best friend was Winnie who is shown on the right in the photo. Winnie passed in 2009. Billie missed her very much. We are sure that Billie is now with Winnie and they are both running through sun-drenched fields having a great time. Billie, you are our little boy and we will love you forever.
