Hello Betty, this is Lynne from South Australia. I have just visited Woody's memorial and thought I would say hello. I had to have my soul mate, best friend and daughter put to sleep on 4th January 2022, but only found this site in late December 2022. It helps me to read the memorials of people like yourself, who obviously loved (and that word is never enough) their furr or feathered child as much as I loved and still love my girl. I dont believe the pain ever goes away, and even thought its over a year now, I often still cry and think of her countless times every day. I know you will be re-united with Woody at the Bridge, as I will with Topsy and all my other furr children before (and coming after0 her. My thoughts are with you, Lynne

Betty --I just read your tribute to your beloved pug. I lost mine 8 weeks ago -- he was 8 and had malignant melanoma--the shock of my life--a surgery, 4 weeks of 'okay' and then downhill. He was tied to my heart and soul and he was my joy on earth -- it has been a rough 8 weeks and I hear every word you are saying!!! I hope you are doing alright and again - your tribute is so beautiful.

Woody You are so loved and what a pretty picture of you. Your family has created a beautiful memorial in your honor. The unconditional love that is between our 4 pawed family members and ourselves can never be broken. My beloved Sasha is now a resident of Rainbow Bridge, please keep her company sweet one until the day we are joined again. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/SASHA150/Resident.htm Everyone's pet is the most outstanding. "God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your blessed furangel Woody, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your face and a chuckle to your heart as you remember the way your baby's tender love touched your very heart, be the ones that surround you this Holiday Season. My prayer for each of us this Christmas season, is that each of our babies wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us this special season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it most.... And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved furbaby bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your fur-angel would want for you this year ... With best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty & DJ's mom)

I am so sorry to hear about your recent loss of Woody. Please find comfort in knowing that Woody is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I am sure that Woody and Spooky have become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Dear Betty, My deepest sympathy for the loss of your Beloved Woody. I can tell how much you loved him and miss him. There is nothing to describe the loss of our babies. My MooMoo kitty left me tragically on 8-2-08. It helps to visit other residents and leave them a kind message. Pray that we will meet them again at Rainbows Bridge. God bless. Sincerely, Deloris

Welcome to the bridge Woody...how are you today? You are going to make many friends at the bridge. There is so much for you to do. You can chase bunnies, play ball, chase butterflies...and take long naps in the sun. Isn't that great? Make sure you send your mommy some smooches so she knows you are OK. Now go play & have fun. To Betty...you are in our thoughts. Hold your memories close to your heart until you meet again. http://RainbowsBridge.com/Residents/COLE002/resident.htm

I am sorry for your loss. I can see by what you wrote that Woody meant so much to you. It can be so hard when a fur baby passes, everything we look at reminds us of that baby. I will keep you in prayer during your time of grief. Just remember the good times with Woody, it will help you during the sad moments. Love Nancy--Commander Bun Bun's Mommy--http://RainbowsBridge.com/Residences/COMMA001/Resident/htm

My deepest sympathies to you and your family on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 8 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.
