Gosh. Just read about Stevie on here. Loved reading it. I'm a "dog person" and can tell you both are too. Losing a dog, can often times be worse than losing a human. At least for me it can be. I hope you are both doing okay. Stevie was obviously treated as a family member, and not just a "pet". Let the good times stand out in your memories. Those don't have to go anywhere. :) Take care, Tim

Your entry here brought me to tears. But it feels good in a way. Losing a dog can be tougher than losing a human. I don't know why this is, but it is often true. I lost my dog in August. I come to this site often, to just...read I guess. It makes me feel a bit better knowing I'm grieving with others. I hope your days are getting better, and the great memories of Stevie and Lenny are helping you get through this. Happy Holidays, from a fellow ND dog lover. And remember: Having a dog will bless you with the happiest days of your life...and one of the worst day. Take care Matt and Beth. ~Tim

Matt, Beth - I don’t think I’ve gotten such a rich idea of a dog in a long life ng time. I do believe Stevie was a dog of steel - and I understand those moments when you hear or look for him. He sounded fearless, brave, independent, filled with joy and blessed with through the roof intelligence. He figured out very thing out. I’m so very sorry for your loss but he’s definitely eating those hot dogs his dear brother showed him.

I can tell from your memorial page how much love you had for Stevie and my heart is saddened with yours in her loss. Having been a dog lover/owner all my life, I know the heartache we feel when we lose such a special one. I do hope, with time, the sadness will ease and in its place will be those joyful memories of her that will bring smiles back to your faces.

I am so sorry for your loss of Stevie. My heart goes out to you as I know you are struggling so with the loss of your precious baby. Your world has lost a very special baby, family member and friend, but the heavens have welcomed home a very special soul. Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain. I know you had a special relationship with Stevie that will always be a part of you. I pray that my sweet little girl, Bailey, found Stevie and they have become friends. May the precious love you shared with Stevie continue to warm your heart and I hope you find peace and comfort knowing that your love will bind you together forever. Peace and blessings to you. My precious Bailey left our world December 5th, 2013 and we miss her so. Please visit my Bailey at http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/BAILE364/Resident.htm

Matt and Beth: You have written such a thoughtful tribute to to your best friend, Stevie, who enriched your lives so immensely. There is no question his love for you was in a league all its own. Isn't it such a privilege to have carried him through his entire life until he left to awake whole and well again? Most likely there is no resting for this kiddo...Finally he has a perfectly functioning body and is able to run, and dance and possibly fly, for which I have left this vase of fern leaves depicting his wings. With heartfelt condolences in your time of need...

Hello, handsome Stevie, welcome to Paradise meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Momu and Daddy love and miss you so...they made you a beautiful place and wrote loving words. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase colorful rainbows and give you special kitty love headbumps. She'll show you wonders of Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind so Momu and Daddy feel your loving presence with them and sweet kisses in gentle breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly until they come for you to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask they not be so sad but treasure your memory and remember you're nestled beside your pawprints deep in their hearts forever. Play meadow games with furangels but stop often to smile at Momu and Daddy so they feel the warmth of your love surround them and know you miss them and are with them. Soar among clouds on silvery new angel wings to watch over Momu and Daddy always, beloved sweet Stevie. Pressy's Grandpa

For sweet Stevie, I know that during your lifetime you gave Matt and Beth much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness playing in the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge. From looking at your photo and reading what your family wrote for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Stevie, I have another wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For Matt and Beth, I just visited your Stevie's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your precious Fur Angel. I am sure if asked, Stevie would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Having lost my little dog Pedro I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Stevie. Wishing you both all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom).
