We are so sorry for you. We lost our Zeus a week ago right now. His hips were bad and he stopped eating and drinking. We thought it was his hips and the heat. We left him at the Vet hospital overnight for observation thinking that we would give Zeus a shot for his hips in the morning. At midnight the Vet called. She said that Zeus had fluid in his chest cavity which was caused by another issue, probably cancer. The vet wanted to draw fluid from his lungs. Last Monday morning we went to see Zeus. He was already unconscious from the drugs. We didn't know he was drugged. It tortures us to know that his Mom and Dad were not there to hold him when he was given Fentenal for the procedure. We held him as we put him to sleep a week ago, but he was already gone. So far the posting of his death has received over 140 comments on facebook. He made everyone happy. John and Cindy

KRISTIN TOMORROW 07-20 THE 1ST ANNIVERSARY OF YOUR LOVEING SLIGO PASSING I SEND EACH MY CONDOLENCES

Hello Kristin, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Sligo. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZIANN001/Resident.htm

It is still difficult to think about your loss. Sligo was such a sweet boy. You couldn't help but smile whenever he came around. Your and John's love for him was so obvious as was his devotion to you. Thank you for sharing him with us. I hope that your sadness is relieved a bit by your sweet memories of him.

Kristin, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. We are sure that beautiful Sligo and Nikki Mae have become good friends and are now having so much fun playing and running again. Please visit our Nikki Mae at: http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/NIKKI115/Resident.htm

Kristen..a great tribute to a beautiful boy who has given you years of memories and friendship. It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Sligo is now happy, healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge. I can send you my babies sites if you wish to visit..take care..

Sidney was on the bridge to welcome Sligo to his new home. They are chasing sunbeams and telling "tails" of their great lives. I have asked them to send you a rainbow from heaven above, a upside smile. When you miss Sligo the most, listen to your heart his love and paw print are there

Dear Kristin and Family, he's beautiful and precious in his picture. What a wonderful blessing that Sligo was a part of your lives, bringing love and happiness to his family every day. It breaks our hearts when our fur babies leave us for heaven's most beautiful meadow, but we must always know that they have gone to a happy place where they are young and well again. Sweet Sligo now plays like a puppy in heavenly sunshine. My two kitties, Inky and Bubba Lou, were there to welcome Sligo to the rainbow meadow and I am sure my kitties have fallen in love with beautiful Sligo! We will see our babies at the rainbow bridge someday. Blessings of healing and peace, dear friends. Please know that I understand and care. Jane

You were sick and tired and we all knew, that God would soon come to take you. You fought so hard, so very long, but through the pain, you stayed strong. We all knew there would come a day, when God would come to carry you away. It doesn’t make it easier to say goodbye, and I try so hard not to cry. I can’t help but feel defeated, or even maybe a little cheated. But how very selfish would I be, to hope and pray you could stay with me. So as you laid there tubes running to and fro, I had to tell you "It's ok to go". Say "Hi" to loved ones waiting on the other side. I know some day; you'll be there when I take that ride. I hope you and John are doing better. I know it is hard.

Sligo - You are a great caregiver and a great companion! You have left your family many endearing memories! Send your family some signs, kisses from the Rainbow to let them know that you are safe, happy, healthy and will have many friends. Let Kristin know that you have met up with the family, and that God has appointed you to be her guardian, protector to watch over her until she is called to join you at the Bridge. To Kristin - I send my heartfelt sympathy to you over the loss of Sligo. I too lost my soulmate not long ago, see Brande at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BRAND167/Resident.htm - We know that God has promised we will be with our babies again. I leave this quote with you, "heaven is the only place where all the dogs and cats you have ever loved will come running to meet you." Author Unknown
