I'm so sorry for your loss. I have 3 malteses myself. They are young yet, so I can't imagine what it will be like to loose them. I did have my 14 1/2 year old poodle go to the bridge last year, so I know how you are grieving. In time it will be better. I'm glad you have a new puppy to help heal your pain. I was so glad I had the malteses when I lost Victoria. Fran

Hello Gayle, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Shelby. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZIANN001/Resident.htm

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Shelby. Please find comfort in knowing that Shelby is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. Just recently on January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. Spooky never met Hannah but I am sure Spooky greeted Hannah at the bridge. I am sure that Shelby, Spooky, and Hannah have become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Gayle, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Take comfort in that their love for us goes on as our love for them does for eternity. I am sure that the memories of this precious member will be with you always. We also lost our adorable little pug, Nikki Mae, who was the light of our lives for more than 14 wonderful years. For sweet Shelby, I know that during your lifetime you gave Gayle much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness at Rainbows Bridge. From looking at your photo and reading what Gayle wrote for and about you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Shelby I have a wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For Gayle, I just visited Shelby's Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I am sure of asked, Shelby would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Last January I lost my little boy Pedro so I can understand how you must be feeling. Gayle please visit my Pedro and write a few words in his guest book at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Pedro002/Resident.htm - thank you. Wishing you all the best always, Rosalind (Pedro's mom)

Gayle and Family, what a wonderful blessing that Shelby came into your lives many years ago and became such a beloved companion and family member. She's beautiful and precious in every way. My two rainbow kitties, Inky and Bubba Lou, were there to welcome Shelby to heavenly sunshine and I am sure our little angels have become good friends. We will be reunited with our babies at the rainbow bridge someday. Blessings of healing and peace, dear friends. Please know that I undestand and care. Jane

Gayle and Steve, I really was very saddened by the news of Shelby's passing even though I knew she wasn't well. I know how much a pet-family member means. Shelby was a great girl and you were as lucky to have her as she was to have you guys. We all love you guys very much and will always be here for you.

Gayle, I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful Shelby. Shelby was sent to you by our Lord the Almighty as a sign of his love for you. These furry packages of love deliver to us such special fellowship, and companionship. There is nothing stronger than the bond that a man or a woman has for their fur-baby. They give us the strength to face the daily human/earthly dealings. I just lost Ginger the love of my life; my leading lady of 17 years, this past fall. Grieving is a natural response of having to send them on their final journey to eternal happiness. Take care in knowing that your precious Shelby is relaxing at one of the many meadows that surround the Rainbows Bridge, is well and playing with the other fur-babies like my Ginger. Shelby sends love wishes your way; thankful for having you as their human soul-mate and waits for you to be there with them. Please visit my Ginger at http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/GINGE256/Resident.htm

I miss you so much my little princes without you i would not know what is to love a animal. You brought so much joy to my life. I will never forget you and all the things you did to make your family happy. You had a great life with wonderful patents Steve and Gayle that loved you and did everything they could to make your life as joyful as possible. I know we will all be reunited again and can't wait to see your beautiful face again!!!!!!

Hello, pretty Shelby, welcome to the sunny meadow by Rainbow Bridge. Mommy and Daddy love and miss you...they made you a beautiful place and wrote loving words about you. We asked our Pressy to welcome you and be a playmate to chase sunbeams and rainbows and give you special kitty love headbumps. She'll show you wonders of Paradise meadow and teach you to send love signs on the wind so Mommy and Daddy feel your loving presence with them and sweet kisses in gentle breezes. You're now a guardian star shining brightly until they come to cross the Bridge together for all time. We ask they not be so sad but treasure your memory and remember you're nestled beside your pawprints deep in their hearts forever. Play meadow games with furangels but stop often to smile at Mommy and Daddy so they feel the warmth of your love surround them and know you miss them and are with them. Soar among clouds on silvery new angel wings to watch over Mommy and Daddy always, beloved Shelby. Pressy's Grandpa

My Sidney was on the bridge to welcome Shelby to her new home. They are chasing sunbeams and telling "tails" of their great lives. I have asked them to send you a rainbow from heaven above, a upside down smile. When you miss Shelby the most, listen to your heart, her love is there.
