Dear Tony- with witness and empathy from me to you! I am so glad I was able to stop by Sascha Hodges' Rainbow Bridge memorial page. It's awesome to see what you had to share about your life together. It's the hardest thing when our pets die, though they do leave us with a lot of great memories that come to us in time. Hoping that it helps you to know that you are thought of! -Megan, with Dexter "Big Essie" and Rinchen in Philadelphia

Thank you for your kind words on Bruno's guestbook. Sascha Hodges was a beautiful girl and so much loved by you. You have some lovely photos of her which will always remind you of what a great companion she was. The kind words and thoughts that you have written about her will comfort her in the other world, across the bridge . . . until you meet again one day. God Bless (We hope Bruno meets up with Sascha and they become good friends).

Tony, my condolences on your precious Sascha's passing. What a beautiful sweet girl she was, I know the heartache and emptiness you must be feeling. Sascha now has a new body and she's happily playing like a young pup with all her newfound friends. May her fond memories always warm your heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sash was a circular tail wager. I researched this and found this meant she was extremely happy and "adored" me. Girl, I adore(d) you more than you know.

Tony..Sascha is a beautiful girl....a beautiful tribute for a great friend. It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us and labs leave them like no other. She is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge, they are gone from our site but never forgotten. I can send you my babies site if you wish to visit..take care..

Tony, I am sorry for the loss of your sweet Sascha. Oh yes, she is daddy's little girl who has so much love for you. You two have a strong bond, and now that she has transitioned, she will continue to be with you in spirit. I hope Sascha meets up with my Murphy so they can run and play together in the warm sunshine together.

It has been two weeks since you left and I am still wondering if I had done the best. Your love gave me every hope the days would continue on, then I come home only to find you had gone. I wanted to help you, to bring you back, to make this not real, but only a dream. Your crumpled body thru glassy eyes I slowly rearranged as if I would cause you more pain. I gazed at you and stroked you too trying to sooth whatever you had gone thru. I noticed my tears falling to the floor, first one then many more. Why did I leave and not go away, I wish to have noticed you needed me to stay. My little girl has now left and I notice this every day. This thought remains in my head and I still glance about hoping, expecting to find you somewhere lying around. I miss your greeting at the front door your love and excitement I hope to experience once more. You left a mark on my heart even a void, baby I will miss you til my time is called and hope to God you are waiting at Heavens front door.

I miss you baby and its hard to continue on. I look at puppies and my first thought is, "it isn't' Sash". I picture your crumpled body when I was called home, I wanted to pick you up and fix everything and turn it around. If I had known your were having heart pains, I would have stayed and held you in my arms just where you would have wanted to be when hurting. I am so sorry I failed. You were the best.

Tony, I am so sorry for the passing of your very special girl, Sascha, with you since she was a pup. I know the intimate bond that forms between parent and fur-child from the close connection with the dogs who were my childhood friends: the bond with cats over the years: then latterly the closeness to my beloved Pigeon Family with whom I had a rare and beautiful relationship - mainly through eye-contact - as you did with Sascha. These close and wonderful friendships are a gift to us from a loving Creator Who has planned that our pets are to be our `children` forever - not just in this life. I know the sense of `amputation` that you feel - `expecting` her to be there for you. I promise you this does heal in time and you will learn to adapt to her physical absence - and find you can communicate spiritually - almost like praying! This makes sense as your Sascha is now with God - yet, miraculously, still with you in spirit. May you be comforted knowing she is near you - always loving you.

Tribute to a Pet… God looked around His garden And He found an empty place. And then He looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you, And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered "Peace be thine." It broke my heart to lose you. But you didn't go alone, For part of me went with you, The day God called you home. Blessings….. Joyce
