Jan...a beautiful tribute to a great friend. It is always hard to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. But no matter what or for whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon leaving their forever pawprints within us. Dear Jan, I'm so very very sorry about the loss of your beloved Ruger. I cried while reading your touching story about your beautiful baby boy. I know exactly how you feel and I'm so very sorry for your heartache and pain. I lost my baby boy on 6-26-17. He was my very best friend and I never thought I could go on because my heart was shattered. But with the support and love of friends and family and knowing in my heart he was in heaven with my other beloved pets made the weeks that followed a little easier. I just know your beloved Ruger is watching over you and will help you through this sad time. In the meantime please know you're not alone and you can email me anytime if you want to "talk" about it. You're in my thoughts.

Hi Jan, I can see how much love Ruger had for you its in his eyes, yes you can see his pure gentle soul in those eyes,its very hard when we slept with our fur babies our bond becomes so much stronger. My Jasper had the same gentle soul as Ruger, he loved everyone too, when you have a special dog like that it makes it so much harder to lose them. Ruger is a special dog, very special, he had so much love to give. your Memorial for Ruger is very touching and full of love. Jasper was my soul mate and it sounds like Ruger was yours too. I'm so sorry Ruger had allergies, my Jasper did too, it was the allergy treatments that gave him Cushing's disease and that took him in March this year. Hugs. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Ruger. Please find comfort in knowing that Ruger is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I have lost several babies since Spooky's passing. Hannah 1/11/13, Sammi 8/2/13,Maci 4/9/14, Gabbi 3/20/17, Zoe 1/3/18, Willow 6/4/18, and Shelby 6/12/18. I am sure that Ruger and my babies have all become good friends.
