Reading your sweet letters to your kids and seeing Raider's sweet face here gets me every time, Laurie. Thank you for the note (I just saw it this evening - sent a reply). It was so good to hear from you! You can visit my Jake if you wish. I've decided not to renew his residency here, so it might not be up for much longer: https://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/JAKE278/Resident.htm God Bless!

Laurie, I still get choked up when I see Raider's sweet face and read your sweet letters to your kids. I missed signing here last year. I lost my beloved Jake last November (set up a page for him here on the website). I miss him terribly. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Raider, I'm so sorry I failed to leave you a message. I'm a few days late for your 7-year anniversary at Rainbow Bridge. You left your family with many wonderful memories. Your human "mom" is a very thoughtful person. I'm sure you'd agree with me, right? God Bless your sweet face. Merry Christmas at the bridge!

Laurie, I signed Raider's guestbook on 12/22/09, and we exchanged a few emails afterward. You may not remember, but I've always remembered Raider's beautiful memorial here on the RB site. I wrote you about my two dogs (Jake and Jasmine). They are still both with me. Jake is pretty old now, but he's still doing pretty well for the time being, and for that I'm grateful. I let my Heidi's memorial expire this year. I felt it was time, but it still hurt when it was taken down. I hope Bailey and Mac are doing well, along with your family. Take care!

Laurie, I was just visiting some of the babies here and came across your Raider. We have three babies at the bridge. The two most recent we lost this year. One of those was our precious lab, Kaizer. I tell you this about me so you will know I understand how those labs wrap themselves so deeply around our hearts. I also work with rescue, and it makes me so very happy to know that one more of the lost ones, as I call them, found the love and the home they each deserve. We have 6 beautiful babies now and I believe that each one of them were sent to us by our babies in heaven, I know your Raider will send you new love if he hasn't already. I hope that you can find comfort in the knowing that Raider like my babies is now restored to perfect health and youth and has an angel to tend to him, as you continue your journey on this side. They are with us always in every breath we take they are apart of us here as they will be in heaven.

I found a few errors in my previous post, so am reposting: Laurie, what a wonderful tribute to your beloved Raider. The letters you wrote to your children, Emily and Brendan, were very touching and uplifting. I can tell how much you love your kids and how much you all love Raider. I lost my Beagle, Heidi, that same month and I know how the loss feels. I hope that by now, most of the sadness has left and you all have many happy memories of Raider. And perhaps by now Raider has guided your family to a new dog to love. Sincerely, Monica

Raider, Know you are remembered by many...A CHRISTMAS WISH FOR THE ANIMALS - If I could wish upon a star and travel to the place right where you are, I would climb the Bridge on Christmas Eve and take my turn to wait. To wait right there at Rainbow's Gate, To have a chance to visit you . I would hug you tight and be so thankful that very night to have a chance to see you well and happy too. Your eyes so bright, your coat so fine. You have gotten younger over time. We could talk about the days gone by and then the day I had to cry. You could assure me you will be right there when I too will open Heavens Door. Its just a dream I know, I can not come until its time . Until then, just know, I will close my eyes this Christmas Eve and think of you. We will be together again and when I arrive, we will never ever have to part. MERRY CHRISTMAS (By Gloria Childers)
