I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Ponci. Please find comfort in knowing that Ponci is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. I am sure that Ponci and Spooky have become good friends. Be of good cheer Ponci will be waiting for you. She does miss you with all her heart. She and all the fur babies all miss their parents. But they know in their heart of hearts, that they will never be forgotten by all who loved and cared for them. The light will always burn bright. Love lasts forever between us and our babies. Someday when the time is right Ponci and you will be reunited. She will be waiting for you at the Gates. Watch for that wagging tail. Dear Diane, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure that Ponci was a wonderful friend and companion, holding a special place within your Heart. We will light a candle and speak a blessing for Ponci and your family at Monday's Candlelighting Ceremony, to help illuminate Rainbow Bridge for Ponci (and any other furmates you may have also lost). Perhaps our Furbabies (we are also hurting, with our sudden loss of B.K. Sylvester on 1/14/09) will find a Wonderful, Happy Place at the Bridge to play together. During this time of heartache and mixed feelings, may your pain ease in the days to come, and may you hold your dear Furbaby deep within your Hearts Forever... A world of Furry Hugs to you, Randall & Paul B.K. Sylvester: http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BKSYL001/Resident.htm

Oh Diane - I feel your pain. My Sophee also died from actue renal failure. It was so quick - I hated to see her that way. It was so hard for me. She wasn't yet 10 either :( And she also means more to me than any of the others. I'm so sorry. Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your baby. I've had to have several of my babies put down also (one very recently and my heart is just aching, so I know how very hard it is. I believe our babies know we will always carry them in our hearts. At least I pray they do. ((healing and heart-felt hugs)) Karen If you would like, you can visit my babies at http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/SOPHE001/Resident.htm and http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/CALLI012/Resident.htm

My best and dearest friend Diane-- Some people just understand, you know what I mean. You and I, we get it. Unfortunately we grieve the most but the unconditional love we receive (even though it is short) is like no other love. I just can not express my sympathy in words. I know you and I knew Ponci and I know how much she will always mean to you. I remember one of our first meetings and how she would get her treats out of the cabinet and bring them to me, the pictures we took in front of your home with the flowers, our trip to Bass Lake, her on my lap to Carson City, and her happy dog smile. Very few animals are blessed to have a loving and forever home but she was one of them. Know in your heart that you will see her again, she is waiting for you. May you find some peace in this as I know you are going through such a tuff time. My love to you and Ponci

I remember the when I met Ponci. The first thing she did was jump on my couch. That gal had NO manners, but boy, she was cute!! Diane would leave her with me sometimes when she traveled, and although I taught her a few tricks, Ponci would wait until I fell asleep and sneak out of her kennel to crash on the couch. Stupid, she was not!! Ponci Leaux had a huge heart, and was a very lucky dog to have someone like Diane love her so much and so unconditionally. Many of us humans don't get to experience that. We'll all miss you, dear. --Uncle Ken--

Happy New Year Ponci...how are you today? What a nice looking doggie you are. You are going to make many friends at the bridge. And there's so much for you to do. You get to chase bunnies, butterflies & take long naps in the sun. Isn't that great? Make sure you send your mommie lots of smooches so she knows you are doing OK. And tell her that you are in NO hurry to see her at the bridge...to take her time. You are loved Ponci. To Diane...we are sorry for your loss. It's never easy letting our babies leave us but we do because we love them so very much. Hold your memories close to your heart until you see your precious Ponci again. http://RainbowsBridge.com/Residents/COLE002/resident.htm

My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. I do know what it is like to lose a loved one, whether Human or one of our special, furry babies. Having lost quite a few of my own and doing dog rescue, it is never easy. From my house of 8 furr babies, to yours, we wish you the best. If you ever need to write please do so. I will be there for you. They never leave us, we just don't see them any more. Their spirit lives on.

To precious Ponci, a new angel at the Rainbow... I can just see you now with your feather-soft guardian angel wings, watching over your family back here. And I just know by now you've had a chance to look around for the coziest & softest places to take your sunshine filled Rainbow-colored afternoon naps, haven't you... And each time you look up and see that wondrously magical Rainbow, may you know that all those who loved you back here have actually helped make it shine a little brighter. How? With their tears, sweet baby. Each love-drop filled tear here has mixed with the sunshine there at your new home, and your Rainbow shines even brighter for you now..... An old Indian proverb: "The Soul would have no Rainbow if the Eyes had No Tears" says it best... You now find rest in the Arms of God's very own Angels...what more could Diane have ever wished for you? What more could have ever been wished.......

Ponci, what a beautiful and unique name for a beautiful and unique dog. I am sure she was very proud to call you her human. I know she is playing now in the fields pain free and looking down every so often letting you know she is still with you in spirit in secret ways. Until you all meet again at the bridge my thoughts and prayers remain with you. Remember in life sometimes the greatest act of love one can show is letting go.

Ponci - You are a beautiful lady and left your mom many beautiful memories to hold in her heart. Send her some signs, kisses from the Rainbow to let her know that you are safe, happy, healthy and will have many friends. Let Diane know that God has appointed you to be her guardian, protector to watch over her until she is called to the Bridge to join you one day. I will tell my Brande to find you and play with you. To Diane - I send my heartfelt sympathy to you over the loss of Ponci. I too lost my soulmate not long ago, see Brande http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/BRAND167/Resident.htm - We know that God has promised we will be with our babies again one day. I leave this quote with you, "heaven is the only place where all the dogs and cats you have ever loved will come running to meet you." Author Unknown
