victoria, I'm so sorry for your loss. I feel your pain in every word. My little boy junior died from the same thing, he was fine on 4th of july and passed away ten days later. He was such a brave little boy. My heart still aches, I sure hope junior and pepper have found their way to one another, because they sound like soulmates. may god comfort you in your pain.

What a beautiful memorial to your loyal Pepper. I so enjoyed reading your memories and feelings. I feel the same way with my Halfa and Circus Dog. I still miss them so much even though I have 6 pups here with me now. May you rest assured Pepper will come to you in your quiet moments. Love to you.

Pepper, I am a bit late with my Christmas message, but this is for your parents this Christmas and every Christmas. A Christmas Promise A promise to the Animals of Rainbow Bridge How nice it would be to visit you on this Christmas eve. How clear the Christmas star would be from your Celestial home. So many friends I want to see, and many from long ago. We could visit the animals from Manger square, and many more we know. If I am chosen - one day - to cross the bridge to you, there will never be another Christmas that I won't share with you. Written for Jake Childers December 22, 2007 Gloria Jean Childers

My gosh Pepper, how handsome you are.My little guy Caleb is helping me find all of you, so i'm sorry to be late welcoming you to this special little Meadow.Caleb was "daddys" boy only ,just as you were only mommys, and just as you have become their Guardian Angel and helped them find others, so too did caleb help me find Jasper, for the "unconditional love" you gave us so freely has allowed us to carry on in your memories, and will never go unfinished. We humans have a saying Pepper, that the eyes are the mirrors to ones soul, and when your mommy first looked into yours whiole on the stairs, it was then she knew you were looking through the eyes of love at her, and that forever bond formed.Such treasured memories and love Pepper--will be ours for our lifetimes, and someday,we furbaby parents will have that one grand reunion and all our furbabies will be back in each others arms again--till then, play safely and rest well at days end. You are loved Pepper, and that is Forever.

"Those who don't know how to weep with their whole heart don't know how to laugh either." (a quote from Golda Meir) ... Perhaps there's a hint in her words as to why we pet owners grieve so deeply, as our pets have brought such joy and laughter to our lives...We've almost no choice but that our whole hearts grieve when they are no longer by our side... May the warmth of the Rainbow, along with the beautiful memories you have of your sweet baby, surround and comfort you near the 1 year anniversary of the loss of your little angel. Rest well in God's gentle loving arms, beloved Pepper.

I always say that when we go to heaven our beloved pets will be the first ones to greet us, not St. Peter...! I also believe a persons' character is judged by how they treat animals and waiters. (I think a waiter came up with the last part.) Thank you for sharing. Connie

What a sweet boy Pepper is. I love your memories of Pepper, thank you for sharing them. I know that Pepper and Gwendolyn are playing together at the Rainbows Bridge, and will greet us all once again. Blessings to you, Steve and Pepe. Heide and Madison with Gwendolyn in our hearts.

I am privileged to have known Pepper. Pepper was a sweet boy who knew his place in the world (on a lap, in the front seat of a car, or on top of the world!)When he came to visit me he was surrounded by 3 female dogs and was instantly the king of my house, which was also the place he had at home - sorry Steve! I know Pepper's mama and I suffer with her in her pain. They were inseparable. I remember Pepper looking her way before he did anything, and I do believe he came back in her dreams to put her at ease (my Bear did the same for me). Pepper, look up Bear, Dusty, Scruffy, Gretcha, San-ban, and Luci in Rainbow bridge, they're a lot of fun and have been there for a while now. Tell them when I cross I expect to see you at the big party we'll all have when we're together again. I'll just borrow you for a bit though, because I know you're just waiting for your mama's arrival. I love you baby! Aunt Lia

Good day, I just read your site and it is absolutely beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes. I know I lost my beagle, named Puppy, on 12/14/2005 suddenly and it's been so hard. I still weep for him. I've always had beagles, but Puppy and I had something so special. Well enough about me. My thoughts and prayers are with you. God Bless you. Judy
