(Return to Patches's Rainbow Bridge Residency)

Hi, John. Wanted to check in to see how it's going. I still think of Patches and you from time to time. We just moved, so we had to leave behind Poopy's remains, but we got a garden statuette that's the spitting image of her. We took that with us, so now she has a permanent residency at our front door. Plus I have a feeling she attached and came with us, as the paranormal investigator folks like to say. All I know is that I see calico colored flashes out the corner of my eye now and then. Hope all is well with you, stay safe and away from viruses and nutty people in these crazy times. All the best, Burt

Thanks for visiting Poopy, John. I know she craves the attention. And thanks for checking in. We're doing fine. Appreciate the kind words about her story. I did kinda go on and on, but it was what was needed to get through it all. I'll always miss her, like you'll miss your lovely Patches. Gotta tell you again, after a year plus of visiting Rainbow Bridge and reading what folks write, your tribute to Patches is still my #1. Your love for him glows with every word, and I feel like I know the little guy. All the best to you, and have a joyful holiday season.

John, I see it's been a year since anyone posted here. I'm new to the site. I've been spending a lot of time here since I sent my best buddy, my sick old calico Poopy over the Bridge yesterday. I've read a lot of the posts on this site. Some short, some long, some really, really long. I know people have a lot to get out of their systems, and I don't begrudge anyone the need to vent their pain and frustration. But I wanted to tell you that what you wrote; in just six sentences, you said everything that needs to be said about what and how I'm feeling. The Gettysburg Address of memorials. Hope you don't mind, but I printed it out to add to my affirmations. I hope this finds you well, and that when the time comes, you get Patches back on your lap. Thanks, my friend.

JOHN TOMORROW 09-02 THE 1ST ANNIVERSARY OF YOUR PATCHES PASSING I SEND EACH MY CONDOLENCES

“God gave us our memories so that we might have Roses in December." a quote by J.M. Barrie. May the memories of your sweet Patches, the ones that can't help but bring a smile to your heart as you remember how your baby’s paw prints touched your life, be the ones that surround you this first Holiday Season without your beloved furbaby. My prayer for all of us this Joyous season, is that our babies will wrap up a special little sign for each one of us back here, and send it to us during this blessed season. May you catch a glimpse of your special sign, just when your heart needs it the most....And may each love-filled memory you have of your beloved fur-angel bring to your heart the very warmth and sunshine of the Rainbow itself. That's just one "gift" your baby-angel would want for you this season. Best wishes for you and your family this Holiday Season, Karen (Dusty, Momma, DJ & Patches mom)

John, I was drawn to your memorial because I lost my Patches a day after you lost yours. Your writing touched my heart, and I could identify very much with your feelings. We have a great God, and He loves all of His creation. We can take comfort and hope in knowing that we will see our beloved pets again. God bless you and comfort you.

Hello John, I am so sorry for the lost of your beautiful Patches. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. Our fur babies where so beautiful and a gift of true joy & love, how can we not be happy when we reflect on their memory and begin to celebrate their life. One day we will be together again with our beautiful companions; I lost my Zander & Zianna & have attached their link if you care to visit. With Love & Sympathy Diane. http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZANDE003/Resident.htm http://rainbowsbridge.com/residents/ZIANN001/Resident.htm

Dear John – I am so sorry for your loss of Patches. My heart goes out to you as I know you are struggling so with the loss of your precious baby. Your world has lost a very special baby, family member and friend, but the heavens have welcomed home a very special soul. Earth’s loss is heaven’s gain. I know you had a special relationship with Patches that will always be a part of you. I pray that my sweet little girl, Bailey, found Patches and they have become friends. May the precious love you shared with Patches continue to warm your heart and I hope you find peace and comfort knowing that your love will bind you together forever. Peace and blessings to you. My precious Bailey left our world December 5th, 2013 and we miss her so. Please visit my Bailey at http://RainbowsBridge.com/residents/BAILE364/Resident.htm

Dear John I'm sorry for the loss of your Patches. I lost my Finnbar December 2012.I understand how hard it is to say goodbye. When its time you'll be together again just as it should be.Until then Patches is waiting for you at Rainbowsbridge happy and healthy. There are new places to explore so much space to run like the wind all the good treats and when he needs a break, meadows to lie in the sun. He's having a ball with his new friends all the while still keeping an eye on you.I hope he's met Finn by now. He's a friendly little cat but he's scrappy and he can catch. If you would care to visit my Finnbar http://Rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Finnb001/Resident.htm

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Patches. Please find comfort in knowing that Patches is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. I am sure that Patches and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

John I am sorry for your loss of Patches. My Perseus went to Rainbow Bridge when he was 14. There are no more aches or pains. No rain only sunshine. Running and playing all day with the other furbabies. One day we will join them for all eternity at Rainbow Bridge.

Dear Patches, you are truly cherished. Please go to the Bridge and send your precious love down the Rainbow straight into the heart of your daddy who misses you so much, and he will send his love right back to you on angels' wings. Dear John, your world has lost a very special furperson, family member and friend, and heaven has welcomed Home a very special soul. Patches is now your very own angel, watching over and for you, just as Tashi, Katy and BG are watching over us, until you meet again and cross the Bridge together. May his sweet love continually nuzzle your heart until then, and may you find comfort in knowing that the silver thread of love that binds you heart to heart with Patches will never be broken. Many blessings and much peace, Clare and Martha...Please visit our Tashi at http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/TASHI002/resident.HTM

For sweet Patches, I know that during your lifetime you gave John much joy. Now I am wishing for you lots and lots of happiness in the meadows beyond the Rainbow Bridge. From looking at the beautiful residency that John created just for you it is obvious that you came from a very warm and loving home. Patches I have a wonderful playmate for you. His name is Pedro and he is adorable just like you. I know you two will be very good friends. For John, I just visited Patches' Rainbows Bridge residency and wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your precious furangel. I am sure if asked, Patches would have said that every day spent with you was a blessing. Having lost my little dog Pedro I can understand how you must be feeling and how much you must miss Patches. Wishing you all the very best always, Rosalind (Pedro's Mom)
