Hi Mike, just read Owen's story, so beautifully told. Loved his photo album, too, What a gorgeous puppy We have 2 Cavs on Rainbow - Benji and Louie and, like you and Owen, we've found that our relationship was so strong, it seems to transcend even death. We used to treat our boyz as little humans and they responded to that. I sens the same depth of relationship between you and Owne. I know that lots of people just 'don't get it'. But, we saw - what the heck would they know? It was wonderful to note the 'signs' - rainbows, songs etc which we do believe are sent from above, allowing us to maintain spiritual contact with our babes. We will pray for you and Owen, that peace will find you and, in time, will heal your pain, although I'm not so sure I will ever truly get over the loss. Thanks for such a lovely story and photos. Mike, So sorry for your loss. We share a love for beloved pets with the same name. My precious little Owen passed very recently and he took a piece of my heart with him. I am hoping the tears eventually will be replaced with the wonderful memories. It is my hope that the two Owens are running and playing together in the sunshine. Mike, my heart felt condolences on the loss of your beloved Owen. What a beautiful boy he was! I can tell from your touching words how special your bond was. Few of us are so blessed with "The Bond". It truly is an irreplaceable gift, but, OH the pain when our babies are gone.... It is so very hard when our fur children pass. They are a part of us and the hole they leave behind when they've gone to The Bridge is huge. My sweet dog, Chili, went to The Bridge late April. She and I were blessed with the same type of bond you had with Owen. I think of her everyday, as I know you think and cry for your sweet baby. Mike...Owen is a beautiful boy with great eyes.It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both.For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us.Owen is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge.I can send you my babies site if you wish to visit..take care..

Hi there. I have been going through pages on this website where I have a resdidency also for my cat who passed in feb 2011. Last friday I lost another furbaby. King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes: "To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven…a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance…" The Zohar, the classic work of Kabbalah, describes the inner psyche of man as "crying being on one side of the heart and laughing on the other side of the heart." Yet, there is an even deeper understanding, we will learn to be joyous and broken hearted at the same time. I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Owen. Please find comfort in knowing that Owen is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. Spooky never met Hannah or Sammi but I am sure that Spooky greeted Hannah and Sammi at the bridge. I am sure that Owen, Spooky, Hannah, and Sammi have all become good friends. Mike, so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye is never easy.....those little furry companions definitely steal our hearts and souls. They are so precious and are truly one of God's greatest gifts. Dear Mike I'm sorry for the loss of your Owen. What a beautiful tribute for a beautiful soul, not to mention a good looking guy. I lost my Finnbar, another Irish guy, last December. I understand how hard it is to say goodbye. When its time you'll be together again just as it should be. Until then Owen is waiting for you at the bridge happy and healthy. There are new places to explore so much space to run like the wind all the good treats and when he needs a break, meadows to lie in the sun. He's having a ball with his new friends all the while still keeping an eye on you. I hope he's met Finn by now. He's a friendly little cat but he's scrappy and he can catch.
