Hi Nona, I know you are well settled there at the bridge and busy with your daily activities with all your fur baby friends, especially showing all of them how to swim in all those wonderful ponds and streams. Take a second though and send a sign down from the bridge to your daddy. Just let him know that you are always watching over him. He wrote a beautiful story of your life while you were here. I know you had a very special relationship and I know he misses you every day.

Dear Antone and Petite- Thank you for the opportunity to stop by NONA's Rainbow Bridge memorial page and learn about your life together! I can only imagine how much you miss your friend. It was awesome to see the memories that you shared. Even when time has gone by, we still miss our friends, though in time the happier feelings will take over for the grief, in order to keep our pets who have died close by until we are together again. I hope it gives you comfort to know you are thought of! Your collection of pictures of Nona is completely amazing- what a treasure trove! And I loved your beautiful poem. -Megan, with Dexter "Big Essie" and Rinchen in Philadelphia

Antone & Petite, my condolences on Nona's passing. It's hard to see a beloved pet suffer, so to let them go with dignity, is the most humane gesture we can bestow upon them for all the years of love and loyalty. She will always be with you in heart and spirit. Blessings, Rose

I just read your moving tribute for your Nona, and I bawled my eyes out thinking about my own loss nearly 2 years ago. Your love for Nina shines through-linguistically and pictorially. Bless you in your grief; I know this pain. Laura San Jose, CA

Anyone/Petite..Nona is a beautiful with a great smile..pitbulls get a bad rap as so do many other dogs and it is all in how they are treated and raised. I have many friends that have then including my own daughter who hs young children and Elsa is as sweet as can be...a beautiful tribute for a great friend. It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us. She is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge, they are gone from our site but never forgotten. I can send you my babies site if you wish to visit..take care..

They will not go quietly, the pets who've shared our lives. In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives. Old habits still can make us think we hear them at the door Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor. Our feet still go around the place the food dish use to be, And, sometimes, coming home at night, we miss them terribly. And although time may bring new friends and a new food dish to fill, That one place in our hearts belongs to them.... and always will. - Author unknown. I am so sorry for your loss but I do hope that this poem offers you some comfort. Blessings………………….. Joyce

Antone and Petite, I am so sorry for the loss of your little angel Nona. Such a pretty girl who has nothing but love and gratitude to you for care and wonderful life and home you gave her. I hope she meets up with my Murphy so they can run and play together in the warm sunshine.

Antone and Petite, I am sorry for the loss of your sweet Nona. Oh yes, she is a lovebug and I can see how much you love her. That feeling is a mirror reflection of how much Nona loves you for all the great care and the wonderful home you gave her. I hope she meets up with my Murphy so they can run and play together in the warm sunshine.

Antone, in my first message I misspelled your name as "Anyone"; it should have been Antone, replacing the "y" with the "t". I'm sorry.

Anyone, Petite: I’m sorry for your loss. You made the right decision; you loved Nona and ended her suffering. Know that you are not alone. I, too, have lost a beloved pet; everyone in this website have. We feel the pain that you feel; we’ve suffered the loneliness that you suffer, at not having our beloved pet by our side anymore. But we all feel the same relief---that where our beloved pets are now, they’re safe, and happy, and content, whatever afflicted them in this life is gone. And we all share the same hope---one day, we will be together again with our beloved ones. My baby, a female Beagle named River, left for Rainbow Bridge on March 21, 2017; here she is now---

My lab/pit bull mix is also mistaken often for being aggressive or mean, but she reassures me daily she's nothing but unconditional love and loyalty. It saddens me that pits get bad reputations. I feel sadness, too, in your loss of Nona and I do hope that some of the treasured memories you have of her will help your hearts to heal. Blessings.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Nona. Please find comfort in knowing that Nona is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. On March 20, 2017 my sweet little calico Gabbi crossed over Rainbow's Bridge. I adopted her about a month after Spooky passed away and Gabbi also lived to be almost 16 years old. I am sure that Nona and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

Dear Antone & Petite, your story about Nona touched my heart. I will never forget her or the love you have for her. I understand this is a sad time for you I too know the heartbreak of losing a beloved friend and constant companion...so I understand how much Nona means to you. You were so lucky to have so many wonderful years together. Just remember that it is never really “Goodbye”, just “Until we’re together again”! And I pray that this thought will give your heart comfort and peace in the days to come when you think of your sweet Nona. Now Nona waits for you to sleep at night and dream of her. Her love continues to cross the Rainbow bridge and come to you all the time. My pups and I are sending you very – very special loving thoughts, prayers, positive energy, and petitioning the Universe to ease your heart pain and give you peace in the knowledge that you will see your little one again one day and that for now your sweet Nona is but a dream away!

Antone and Petite-Nothing prepares us for the depth of sadness that follows the passing of a best friend and companion. The emotional and physical closeness with Nona created a degree of intimacy and a bond that will always remain. She was gentle, a trusting presence who was a dependable part of your daily routine. Nona accompanied you in moments of quiet introspection and shared her passions. What an honor, a gift and one that will be cherished until the end of time. In your time of sorrow, may your be comforted by the outpouring of surrounding love. The gift of a pool has been left at Nona's resting place-swim freely, dear friend!
