Hi Nikki, I just came by to see what this Nikki looked like and read your story. Your mommy sure set up a beautiful memorial of your life in your honor. I know you are well settled there at the bridge and busy with all your siblings and friends. Take a second though and send a sign down to your mommy. Just let her know you are always watching over her.

Sunil..Nikki is a beautiful girl with a great smile....a beautiful tribute for a great friend. It is never easy to lose a furry young or old and I have lost both. For whatever reason they are always taken from us too soon while leaving their forever pawprints within us.She is now healthy and playing with Oreo,Ralph and Eva while waiting for us to join them on the Bridge, they are gone from our site but never forgotten. I can send you my babies site if you wish to visit..take care..

Dear Sunil, Just a note to let you know I share in the sadness of your loss of Nikki Chand. I can tell she was much loved and in return gave you the unconditional love and loyalty they can give to their humans. I do hope some sweet and treasured memories of her will help your heart to heal.

Sunil, I cried unashamedly as I read your beautiful and moving tribute to Nikki Chand. I am so sorry she passed from such a painful and debilitating illness after 14 years of living happily with you. It says much for your loving care of her that she survived as such a young pup! It was a blessing that you were there for her to help her cross the Bridge: that she felt your tender love for her at the end! It is not uncommon for our pets to `hold on` even when they are in pain - because they are reluctant to leave us - or to say goodbye. Sometimes they need our permission before they are ready to leave us - and just by being there it was enough for her to feel she could leave you. She wanted the comfort of your arms so that she could say goodbye! Such is the deep bond between parent and fur-child: which may never be broken on Earth or in Heaven - where she waits for you to reclaim her - one happy day when God calls you to the Land of Light: Home of all who love God - and of all our pets!

I can't claim to have known Nikki but I definitely know the positive impact a Good Dog can have on your life, and I'm sure your life is all the richer for Nikki's presence. All the best, Sunil.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Nikki. Please find comfort in knowing that Nikki is now at Rainbows Bridge and making lots of friends. Saying goodbye is never easy. I also lost my precious cat Spooky July 30th 2001 after 16 wonderful years with her. On January 11, 2013, I lost my faithful friend Hannah who was a beautiful blue tick hound dog. On August 2, 2013 another one of my beautiful cats, Sammi, a black and white tabby, went to Rainbows Bridge. April 9, 2014, Maci, my English Bulldog passed over to Rainbows Bridge. Maci and Hannah were best friends. I am sure that Nikki and my babies have all become good friends. You can visit with Spooky at: http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/residents/Spook002/resident.HTM Take Care, Susan

I am so sorry for the loss of your baby - Prayers for you and your family Our babies are always with us whether here on Earth or up in Heaven, always watching over us. Their uncondtional love for us does not stop just because their body does. No more pain or suffering for them - and their love for us is as strong as ever, just as our love for them is. Soon you will all be together again and going over the rainbow together, which is where your lives’ really begin

Sunil I am very sorry about the loss of your precious fur baby Nikki Chand. We lost our Abby on 2/11/17. It is very hard and our home seems so quiet. We take one day at a time. I know the reason we ALL love animals so much is because the only time they have ever broken our hearts, is when they've crossed that Rainbow Bridge. Our fur babies are in good hands cause God gently picked them up and put them in the lap of an angel for lots of belly rubs.

It is very sad to loose a loved one from the animal world, we never know what they think, do or act, but in return they give the golden rule of peace, love, compassion, honour, respect, and most of all there everything. R.I.P. , such a beautiful animal to have been taken. Love and Hugs

Sunil- Those whom have enriched our lives have taught us the meaning of love, compassion, patience and resilience. Nikki Chand certainly has filled your soul for an eternity. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your best friend and companion; may memories replace the emptiness you must be feeling during this grievous time. This sentiment will help you to reflect and focus on love and loss: “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die. They may leave our lives, but they will never leave our hearts. ” Thomas Campbell
